Do you set any additional goals to yourself?

From the very start of my KCD playthrough, I wanted to go non-lethal. I have killed 0 humans/animals during my first campaign, 103 hours played. It brought me the “merciful” achievement, even though I had no idea I can get one. (I knew you must kill at least one guy in game, Dan Barta said it before I bought the game). During the non-lethal style I have been playing as a talkative thief - speech on max and stealing stuff with ease, made sh…load of money I could never spend.

On my second way through the game I’m gonna become a harsh serial killer maxing out his strength and agility, with no respect for anyone. Despite all of that, I will never steal a single item, ever. Can’t take items from chests, NPCs nor dead bodies. Only stuff I can take with no penalty and Groschen I make by hard work etc. We’ll see, HF.

Do you just play the game for fun, killing everyone, or do you have a special goal on your way through the game? Trying to get a concrete achievement? What about playing the whole game with no alcohol consumed at all? Go on

i dont kill innocents and do not fast travel and dont get caught by a crime and dont fail on dices, bows and lockpicking. i always want the 100 reputation, so i act like that and do everything people want from me. i dont eat and drink more than needed. and i am exploring every single pixel of the map.

I limit myself in not taking and selling most loot from bodies. I take money and jewelry, but that’s all.

Still found that making money was easy. Poaching is easy money and I have heard that Alchemy is very easy money (haven’t done that). Would like a mod that reduced the price at which I could sell anything.

I play Henry as a roguish but generally decent fellow. He does good for others but also is not above doing good for himself. Dicing, drinking and occasionally brawling are all good fun. Taking out bandits and Cumans is a perfectly acceptable way to get an adrenaline rush. Taking a compliment from Hanush and then stealing from his chest is just fine. It’s all about having a good time while getting revenge.

I play the game as god’s chosen punisher. Highly skilled swordsman and cuman killer. I am the guy who helps everyone which comes in my way (pretty much like real life). I don’t steal or kill inocent people, I just try to make a better Bohemia for common people live peacefully. I’m a punisher Knight in shining armor mounted on a white steed. Hahaha

I try to play the noble knight most of the time. I do a Little theft now and again though🙂Kinda like Robin hood.

I knock wayfarrers out on the road to help raise my stealth; But I don’t take their stuff. It doesn’t seem to lower my reputation unless I take something.

I usually have one goal in this kind of game: NEVER die, I’m a very proud gamer and I hate to die in any game even if you just have to reload a save, dying=losing! Probably caught that from my gaming experience in the 80’s when games were so freakin’ hard younger gamers wouldn’t even imagine (actually hard to believe those games were made for kids…), this was an era when saving was a rare feature and it was very common to not be able to finish a game because you hit a difficulty wall and no internet to help you figure it out. Other than that my second rule is NEVER get caught when performing illegal activities, I’m also a hoarder, I basically need to collect at least one unit of each item (especially wearable gear), I also don’t fast travel, I only did it a few times to trigger random encounters.

I act like I’d act in real life. I don’t kill unless I’m defending myself, I don’t steal unless someone owes me and doesn’t pay back (Kunesh) etc. Basicly, I gave Henry my personality. That’s what I do in every RPG I play.

Slowly been adding to this list of limitations, but my latest playthrough I’ve banned fast travel, whistling for horse, paid training, Saviour Schnapps and most potions I deemed unrealistic ( just most poisons and cockerel/digestion/bucks blood allowed). I always try to fully commit to the character too i.e Evil Henry is truly evil even if it makes the game brutally difficult. Unfortunately, Evil Henry is also Drunk Henry, so trying to murder all of Bohemia with my trusty Cuman bow is proving mighty difficult.

What do you guys who say you haven’t kill anyone yet do when you are attacked? Just run away or surrender or what? And what about quests like kill a bandit leader etc?

There is only one person you must kill in the game - the commander in Pribyslavitz who stole the sword. He doesn’t count into the merciful achievement so finishing this game non-lethal means with exactly one human killed.

If someone attacks me, I run away or make him unconscious, it depends. Also, I try not to get attacked, but you have to run a little in quests like Pribyslavitz fight…

Another hint, I have been playing 100 hours with “Pebbles” horse, he’s cute and has a very nice name in czech language, I liked him so I’d stick with not buying an other horse even though most of them have better stats.

if on PC you can mod him to T5

i know but i have been playing with no mods or changes at all and now i can take a different horse already  good tip anyway

thx for the replies  any more welcome

I basically play play like chaotic neutral. I play like a Lanister. I do whatever is to my advantage, sometimes being nice and kissing someones ass and sometimes being a snake.
