First of all i was very excited about this film, i always like to see the background of gaming industry.
I dont like to tell everyone my thoughts unless somebody asks, because i may be wrong and i dont want to influence anybody with my maybe wrong conclusions.
But now its different. In the video they touched some very important things. the offence they had to suffer not only from gamers (because of bugs), but from “journalists”. they call themself journalist because they have a popular youtube channel or blog and they think they automatically became journalists.
to be honest, i think some people dont really understand how they can influence their followers and as they are mostly not professionals they can really drive their community to a wrong way. And in the film there were the key of this whole thing, they didnt ask for explanation from Warhorse studios, they didnt give a shit about the studios opinions. unfortunately its only one example, i am sick of this.
by the way, it way interesting to see how the studio was started. I love the game. its not perfect, but its kind a milestone of RPG history i think. So i hope warhorse keep doing what they doing and very excited for the DLCs and naturally a second episode of Kindom Come. Whish you the best guys… Greetings from Hungary!
I read a lot of lies about game in reviews or complaints about not understanding some game mechanic, journalist previews can be misleading but intelligent person will judge for himself. The thing successful journalists do are catchy titles or creating wow and drama effects out of nowhere. Like Vavra said, they like to say “liar” without asking about some insight proof, Wikipedia is not very reliable, and when they hired historian plus read books about matters, furthermore it is about their country history, it is just so pointy into the eyes that some outsider accuses them how they know little of their own history. Simply manipulating the opinions of their followers who are probably mindless if they believe it. One thing is to show bad things and gameplay proof of bugs or broken mechanics, another is say it is bad game because there are not enough black people represented in the game. Klima said he understands people from different community where there all kinds of ethnics living together and they can not imagine living in homogenous one but clearly there is something wrong with person demanding modern community be reflected in history. After all, it is only game, and they also do not have kids, wow, no kids in medieval times? Like come on. Ridiculous.
Well said mate, the problem is with facing the past. its much easier in the PC world to just ignore or deny all bad things that happened. there were a lot of racism, a lot of violence a lot of not PC stuff, but simply ignore or deny these facts wont help at all, its just covers the problem. if we want to solve it in long term, we have to face it and accept that these things happened, this is how it was, this is how they lived.
BTW, warhorse tried to be as PC as they can while keep the game realistic (Eg.: no children).
I am fucking sick of the PC world, because we cannot talk about many problems. we have to face these and accept.
the “journalists”: a lot of those are just simple people without proper education that makes them professionals of the subject they are writing about (Not all of journalists). we have to make difference between a Review and opinions. everyone can have an opinion, even after 5 hours of gameplay, but this would not be a review. a proper review requires much more, much much more. Like youtuber 21kiloton said regarding “from the ashes” DLC, he said he wouldnt do a review until he finishes the DLC completely, and this is the attitude we need! the Thing is journalists and also viewers, readers need to make a difference between review and opinions and impressions and handle properly.
I’ve seen a number of Youtube channels with people showcasing the gameplay and “reviewing” the game.
It is when they constantly mispronounce places or people in the game, that you realize that they have ZERO hours of hands on experience. They steal gameplay from others and present it as theirs. And then they jump on the bandwagon of complaints. Often they refer to bugs that have long since been fixed, because they are not interested in an honest review, only some way of spreading the usual lies.
Perhaps they feel powerful in their petty lives?
I always leave remarks on those channels. I return after a few weeks and leave remarks again.
That said, I find it extremely important to only comment on what I know about. Being a PC player I wouldn’t comment on a tube for console players (unless to taunt them for choosing inferiour equipment)
Thats typical behavior.
I have noticed a lot of such channels, on many different games. Warning signs are:
- Not original game footage.
- Referring to already fixed bugs or issues (like things fixed after beta).
- Referring to “unfulfilled promises”, when some of these promises were not made in the first place.
- Factual errors - Such as claims that stocks of the developer company plummetted, regardless the developer has not entered stock exchange market.
- Complaining on a generic problem multiple times

Those videos, and sometimes blog posts or forum posters are mostly a part time job. Its basically offered as work at marketing, blog writing or community management, but instead of working on promotion, you are working as a paid troll.
