Does anyone place a horse “restriction” on themselves?

I’m intentionally not getting a horse on the re-play I’m no now, for the full immersion. Looks like you can get off the main quest railroad right after the credits by just taking the girls advice, forgetting about the sword, and not going to talk to Radzig. Now I’m walking the earth, a simple treasure hunter, poacher, and side quest adventurer.

Really great to just slow down and appreciate the care that went into the environment graphics and details.

So far it hasn’t done so. 20 courage and a few horsemanship perks seem to keep him happy, although I never remember my horse running off in previous playthroughs either come to think of it. If he does, I shall hunt for him day and night…and then come morning I’ll give up and buy a Jenda. IMMERSION!

@Spiffington I try to play as a horse archer (+600 kills). Not too proud to say sometimes I’ve gotten too reckless or the NPCs have gotten lucky, and I’ve had Jenda shot and slashed (polearm) out from under me. The horse has been programmed to bolt after it gets up. That’s why I ask

Ahhh I’ve been very lucky then, my horse seems to just stay in place after I get hit/shot off or he gets whacked with a polearm. I will definitely have to keep an eye on what direction he bolts in when this does eventually happen.

Rocinante ftw… I haggled him down to 150 groshen once… bought a cheap saddle and called it a day.

I am also a fan of Boxer and Bucephalus.

Other restriction i use is only kill one horse a day…

Me too. Jenda and the best possible horse equipement are Always my first purchase.

I’ve been playing for 105h and have not progressed much on the main quest. I am at some skalitz mine investigation about some false money or something. I like to take my time, do side quests, wonder around the world, go treasure hunting, rob people i encounter in the woods lol. I only experienced one big bug with a quest where i had to trap some birds and that is it. The game really shows its beauty once you slow down a bit, travel only by horse or foot with no fast travel and just take your time…
