I ruined my reputation in Skalitz. There were bugs related to the guards, so I simply murdered them all. And, sue to bugs, my murders were discovered and my reputation ruined.
My question is, does this matter for my playthrough? I’ve put some hours into the game, so I don’t want to have to start over. If it is important later in the game, I’ll have to look into save file editing so I can start over with all my stats.

i got the same problem, so far it hasent effected me, everyone ive met from skalitz is fine with me
Hmm… not that I think of it, I think that Skalitz refugees & co. take the local reputation as their own (e.g. if you meet a Skalitz refugee in Rattay, he’ll be mad at you if Rattay reputation is low).
There are only 2 NPCs near Skalitz that are villagers afaik and not even interactable with.
tl:dr no I don’t think you should have problems but worst case scenario just go to Skalitz and kill bandits, that should do it or install a mod/cheat for reputation.
