Dragon Age Inquisition?!

Sara is meant to look unappealing. She’s also supposed to be a bit rough with her speech. Unfortunately what’s said for Dorian supposedly goes well with his personality. (blah and this is my love interest to be…oh well could do worse…you know the horny guy for instance) and Solas is merely making reference to the Fade, nothing strange about that.

-edit Well now I almost regret my explanation…I didn’t realize I was having to educate 213 on yet another topic. Are you just genetically a troll?

Yes, I’ll definitely get it. I hope it’s as good as Origins. I would say "I hope it’s better, but I think that’d be too much to hope for, especially given how DA 2 turned out.

I actually totally forgot about tactical combat view

It was a mistake to exclude that fro DA2

Meh not so bad, seems like every writing to any game/movietrailer I’ve seen

I just started on Dragon Age Origins, but i probaly gonna get the game

my friend is trying to get me in to it

Right now I am replaying Dragon Age: Origins. I will definitely play Inquisition.
The ability to play as one of four races is awesome. Maybe I start as Qunari or Elven.
The class will probably be rogue but that depends on the race I choose, I guess.

Well, thread may be a bit old, but DA:I has been out for a bit and just appeared on my radar. I was really turned off by the fact that its EA, and needs U-Play and has some crazy copy protection. If none of that was true I would have bought it in an instant. In the end I decided the DA:I world looks fantastic from the adds, and even if I hate EA, bioware make some good games so I should support it. One hour later installer is at 72% on disk 3 of 4 (dual layer DVDs), and Im wonding (hoping) kingdom come is going to be able to look as fantastic but in the realistic world I prefer and nobody is creating. I would imagine that DA:I is setting new benchmarks, so I hope warhorse are considering that they should aim for at least as good, preferably better. From the alpha, I think cryengine 3 should be able to provide that. Anyway DA:I sure ain’t kingom come, but there is room for both on my machine. I’ll be done with DA:I by the time kingdome come is finished. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDEmVIEuc9c

No more money for the SecuRom creators.
I say no to all Denuvo Games! :sunny:
A kingdom for Wiedźmin ]I[ Dziki Gon

Yesterday I played it for about two hours (I already played it before, a little). Well then it crashed and i didn’t feel to start it up again. It looks pretty much like a total console game to me. You’re thrown into a world, your hero has a unique ability and if he would die the world would collapse. They also put some effort in the dialogues to make him sound extremely cool. Oh wow here the expected saviour of the world is coming and everyone underestimates him… sounds like some japanese cartoon series.
When you walk on snow there will be a quickly dissappearing water bubble on it that is as big as the whole footprint.
The maps look also limited to me, well you know little consoles don’t like it when you can look over 100 square kilometers. Then youre thrown in fights that are totally inconsequential and the explanation for why you have to do something to win this fight is uncomprehensible. It’s just an excuse for having no logical reason to do this. It looks more like Diablo III than Dragon age.
Well maybe it gets better in time but what I am really disappointed of is that it seems that you really can’t trust any reviews anymore.

Edit: Well there is even more. Your armor and weapons are blood splattered after fighting against ghostlike creatures. Everywhere is snow but on a pillar in the middle of it you can’t even see one snowflake. Your character slides down snowy ladders, saving 30 seconds, without any reason to hurry! That is the most awkward thing I have ever seen. As if it wouldn’t be risky at all to break your neck as the only one being able to save the world, right?
The only good thing is that the textures have a high resolution although I still see a few aliasing effects when I max everything out. So that is not even as good as people say and I guess you can have a graphical experience on a PS4 that is not much worse.

After having played it for 5 hours now, its something to do, but its not all that polished. The 3rd person view sucks - the camera angle often ends up in a tree so you cant see what your doing. The story line feels like a cross between elder scrolls 4 and 5 (not necessarily a bad thing), the quest engine and UI is usable but not as intuitive is it should be. The graphics are decent, but could be a lot better with improved shadows/lighting, and the text is flat out bad. Often you are presented dialog options, pick one, and then your character says something completely different to what you just selected. More than once I have picked a dialog option expecting my character to say something with the text I selected but they say something completely different, and offend a character I was trying not to. But then again thats what I expect from EA… they wouldnt spend that extra 10% of time (and money) to put polish on a game which they think they can get away with just pushing out. The whole experience has got me wanting kingdom come even more!
