Duel wielding would require the skill that Henry wouldn’t have. However it might be that Henry can learn this skill, obviously any two handed weapons that are unrealistic to carry wont be avalible
holding shield with sword is not really dual wielding. also, the footage you used is early prototype. there could be a number of reason that npc was using two swords. even programing error. and where did you hear about the dagger and sword combo? was it confirmed by war horse?
The information was confirmed by warhorse, I stated in the video so. and the reason I listed of a shield is that was what they mention as the planned dual wielding items
can you post the source? thanks
It was a personal message through twitter
fine, hopefully tobi is fine with this
This was in response to me asking what items are currently planned for dual wielding
Looks legit. Don’t worry, sharing is caring and he also says “planned” and not “confirmed”, so that’s quite okay, I guess.
PS: You can paste the image directly next time. It works like a charm because it’s a good forum software.
I really don’t want to sound mean, but are we absolutely certain that each and every video of yours requires a new topic?
Anyways, the issue looks fine. The sword with the torch is rational and can be quite fun; I mean, really this is the only viable way to submerge into a dark dungeon to slay giant spiders and cave dragons. …okay, this went below the belt line, but seriously it sounds good.
Sword and shield (Pavise? Buckler? A woman’s purse filled with a brick?) is so basic it barely needs any discussion, but it can be diverse, so it yet kind of does.
What I’m a bit concerned about is sword and dagger. I know that there are resources of “sword and dagger”, but personally only have knowledge about rapier and dagger (preferably parrying dagger), and putting chronology aside, it can be really hectic. Whereas a simple sword and shield is probably not too complicated to implement into the game, a sword and buckler can be problematic, and it is still constructed of a more strict and regulated rules of movements than the sword and dagger. Tl;dr, if you guys have problems with implementing the polearms, you will have seerious problems with implementing the sword and dagger.
…but I hope I’m wrong and wish you stubbornness and good work!
Damn,
I want to dual wield two axes and go full viking berserk.
I want you to die trying. (in game!) There is no way to effectivly use both at the same time. When you strike with an axe you put your body weigth behinde it. When you strike with two axes it’s just slower and less powerful.
btw I hate berserkers in WotV.
Well, who said anything about effective?
(Yeah, the berserks are really bad. They’re just there for spamming
I only play as a warrior with shield and sword. Cuz, SHIELD OP AS FUCK!)
It’s not even about balance for me. I don’t like the default characters look at all and 2 Wepons just adds to making them look like posers.
Just a note, a shield is a weapon. So it would be ‘dual wielding’ technically. Either way, dual wielding doesn’t mean that it must be two weapons anyway, just most things can be used as a weapon…
I have seen some pretty savage training session with dual bucklers.
