Dudes its so broke. hahaha

Seriously? You must’ve never bought a Bethesda game at launch before Fallout 4.

Nope. And even though, not an excuse. I love game its one of my favourite games I had played, but still not an excuse.

My game is not “broken.” In fact, I’ve had only a few minor bugs (PC). I’ve finished the game and have not had one serious game-breaking bug.

Never said it was one wtf.

people don’t usually say “well my excuse is ____” they just sub-consciously make the excuse because they’re in denial of whatever they’re making the excuse for.

Except I never made it sub-consciously either.

I’ve had the same bugs occur to me, except I have the patience to go through whatever I previously did.

And if you both think that I think that “it’s another skyrim” is an excuse for the bugs, you are wrong.

You are blessed

Since I’m new some background on me. I’m 40 years old, I cut my teeth with openworld bugfests on Daggerfall, its addon DemonSpyre (which to this day won’t work on any PC i have ever owned. lol) UO, Oblivion, I beta tested swTOR, ESO, and SimCity (the worst launch experience i have ever had). all of which ran better in beta then when pushed online to bigger servers with 1,000’s of people playing them at once. this isn’t an online game that should suffer from stuff like that. I am not a day one buyer of this game. I’m like a week 2 buyer of this game. i still cant figure out why at start up i have to watch a 4 minute loading movie every time i start the game before i get to a second loading screen for my actual save. every time the game locks up you have to shut it off and REWATCH the stupid good king Winchellsloss movie again. its maddening. if you could just go back to the load game screen i wouldn’t even be here. swear. i’d just take my lumps and forget about it…but every time it locks up i got about 10 minutes of sitting here doing nothing time to waste. again I REALLY LIKE THE “GAME” PART OF THE “GAME”

I was taking your post seriously—until I noticed your profile name… :joy:

AMEN. Finally another old school PC (and veteran Ultima gamer) who gets the WHY behind the idiosyncrasies of why KCD has rubbed many players like me the wrong way since launch.

If you’re on the PC, you can exit out the 4 min history lesson. Just wait until the narrative on Charles IV begins and immediately hit the ESC key. Keep tapping until you get a black loading screen. This will take you to the load screen menu. There are now mods available on Nexus to make this pain and suffering easier for PC gamers to bear:

Skip Intro video mod:

Mod merger. This is the KCD version of Skyrim’s LOOT/Wrye Bash. Detects & resolves conflicts in your load order

Also consider getting Dark Times difficulty and balance overhaul. This is better than Immersive Balance as it includes the deadly encounters/wayfarers from the Roads are Dangerous mod and more:

KCD Uncut which restores missing shield and hellebarde skills:

And these are just Alpha, pre Mod kit versions. Lots more game performance improvement mods exist that will help resolve glitches in your game play. Check them out on the Nexusmods.

this game was not ready for release, it is a beta.

Next “it’s a beta” post please.

Lol which staff’s alt account are you?

what’s wrong with my name? it’s relevant to the game and I was just putting out there what helps me in case it helps someone else.

I wouldn’t be a manager for this forum even if they paid me.

The amount of toxicity regarding the save system and bugs is immeasurable.

You should send Warhorse an invoice because you’re doing a darn good job!

i don’t have a problem with the save system at all. like i said im only to the part where i untie hans from the tree though. ive been exploring the shit out of the woods, running around killing rabbits and deer, picking flowers and stuff. i love all that junk. I think i got like 5 saveurschnapps from the prolouge and i haven’t had to use one yet. just get back to the barn after the days over and sleep/save. honestly the reason im doing all this woods time/hunting/gardening is because the main questline is broke AF and every time i try to actually progress the game it fights me every step of the way. the rest is fun though.

I was being sarcastic.

Your temper tantrum over yet?

@Neonfriction applause

Exactly my sentiments.

I’ve put the game on ice for a while and gone off to play subnautica again. I love KCD and respect what WH were trying to do but it needed more time in the oven. I understand the finanial pressure they were under to release and I’m glad they released something, but I just can’t escape the feeling that between the bugs and the cut features I’m playing a beta version of the final product right now. I have faith that with time I will see a full return on my investment, till then I’ve gotten about 90 hours of entertainment and not even finished the main story so I don’t feel ripped off. To me it’s a bit like buying a fancy bottle of wine, sure, you could pop the cork in the carpark and drink it on the street, but it’d be better to leave it in the cellar until the time is right to drink it and really enjoy it. No doubt the wine connesuire allegory will go over the heads of the younger readers who have not yet learned the truth in the saying “good things come to those that wait”
