i got the special edition with 4 dvds… but steam wants to download the 35gb game… thats about 30h with my connection…
so i was dumb enough to cancel at 20/35gb to intall it from dvd (deinstall, close, win+R, “source -install d:”)
it installed (30 min-1 h) till about 4/35gb, then started steam with the message that i would have access to the game (eventually download in background) AND STEAM STARTS TO DOWNLOAD AGAIN… FROM THE BEGINING!! …“another” 35gb / 1,5 days to go??! what is this sh!t ?

There is a large day 1 patch. It’s 23 GB if I remember correctly, but maybe Steam is downloading something else too, like audio files if you use a non-default language. Can’t check, I have the game on PS4.

i mean it would be completed by now - even the download… but what the hell are the physical discs and the tips to instal from those discs for, when this instalation “stops” at 4gb and “changes” into a steam download FROM ALMOST THE BEGINNING?
and the exact same bite count doesnt seem to be some other download/patch
whatever the meaning of that is, at the day of release…
…man i miss the ps1-2 times… open, cd in, close, go, ftw
single player that need internet to play… movies that i’ve seen 10 times need a ps update… f that sh!t -_-
