End Fast Travel Anywhere

PLEASE Add a exit fast travel button. I love that this game has fast travel cause god does it need it for how big the world is, but i hate when i fast travel to somewhere thats far away start watching the player icon move to the destination and see so many place’s/town’s that i mite want to stop at and check out but the dame icon keeps going and i can’t stop. I mean you can cancel out of sleeping and waiting so why not fast travel.

Also adding a Way Point system for traveling would be a nice touch. It’s just annoying to have to keep opening the map to make sure im going the right way for area’s or places that are not marked.

Not sure if they could do that because technically the fast travel screen is a loading screen. I would love the option though.

i don’t think it’s a loading screen, i think it’s real time, but they calculate it beforehand so you can’t just stop it. hope i’m wrong though.

Yeah, i dont want it for stopping anywhere. But i do hate it when i accidentally pick the wrong town abd its super far away then have to do it again to go to my actual destination

They could implement this fairly easy, I had the game glitch one time I used Fast Travel. I was fast traveling from Rattay to Ledetchko… And instead oif a loading screen, It glitched out and had Henry arms out to his side running very very fast (Looked like he was in fast forward). It was weird, But it happened. He actually runs all the way to his destination./

There’s a console command to manipulate time so it’s not loading screen but fast forward I guess. As for the rest, the point is to explore and gaze the view and see all those interesting thingies. Also you can tag a way point on the map to track your desired destination.

It is entirely possible for them to have it stop anywhere. When you are attacked or meet a random wayfarer, you can choose to stop or try to ignore it. It already is implemented that you can stop mid-travel, you just can’t initiate stopping yourself.

Hat.Trick said exactly what I wanted to say. Implementing this would be totally possible. I agree with the OP completely: I VERY much want this. I don’t mind the fact that the fast travel system sticks to roads. I’m totally OK with that. But towns/cities are not the only destinations I want to stop at along the way. Examples:
1 Many times the fast travel will walk me right by quest objectives that I then have to back-track to.
2 Hunting grounds are usually well away from the current destinations.
3 Sometimes I just forget things. I set out somewhere, remember I forgot something in my trunk at home, and don’t feel like making a detour to a Lodgings place to pay 2 groschen just for the privilege of accessing my trunk away from home.
4 If I’m clearing away fog of war, maybe I see something I want to stop and check out. You know, legitimately explore like Avilion said.

How ia it a loading screen when you can encounter things and it will take you out of fast travel. The foundation is already laid because of the encounter system!!!

Fast travel is definatly Henry walking all the way. Using fast travel, even sitting on a horse, takes more ingame hours than riding the way manualy.

You’re not wrong. Sleeping is the same. You set the time, start sleeping and you can stop it whenever you want. The hours on the clock are nothing more than the fast travel points. But I think that the position may be more difficult to determine if you break off in the middle of the forests? idke

Should add at least a “Cancel” for Fast Travel for those who change their minds.

Or the whoops I am not on my horse moments! Dont forget about those.
