Shodrtly after Start a new game Win 7 is repodrting a lack of sufficient memory: Win 7 64 bit, 8 Gb memory. What do I have to do?

I guess this will be about free space on your hard drive. When you start a game, windows is saving some data on your hard drive automatically when is needed. If this is the case, you have two possible solutions, one of them is much simpler.

simple: Try to delete some data on your hard drive, most likely from drive C: where is your windows located. Erase several gigabytes, best would be like 20GB for future. Try to lunch game again and you will see if that worked or not.

more complicated is to change settings in your computer but this takes some time and knowledge. I can try to find some tutorial for you, if needed.
Try the first option and post here if that worked or not

Depends also on the idle memory that is used. Mine is with only Steam in the background already at 4 GB
Thank you for that hint! At the C-disk there is free space of 79 Gb. I think that has to be sufficient memory.

I think WH said you need 16gb of ram for the game, at least for the unoptimized beta version…
It works for some with 8GB. It will require not having memory hungry applications running simultaneously though - on my machine KCD uses 6.5GB or more when running, which doesn’t leave a great deal left over for Windows and device drivers from an 8 GB total…
I’ve seen a YT video of someone playing on low settings on a GTX950 and 4GB… so it obviously can work on much lower hardware, at least to some extent. I’m surprised by that system tbh.
They wrote that as the minimum spec initially, and then revised it back to 8GB. It was a week ago. No need to bump it with vague information.
