Why is it now impossible to skip ahead of time to steal a horse in the night time anymore? you now cant escape with a horse without being caught committing a crime. Also makes it impossible to knock a guard out in the day time for his key to talmberg armory chest if you fail at lock picking it…
Turns out i forgot you can just take the horse you arrived which doesn’t count as stealing

Well, if you do knock out a guard make sure to kill him before you leave. If not he will recognize you and your rep with Talmberg soldiers end up at -25 permanently.
It wouldn’t let me knock out a guard, they kept resisting no matter how many times i reloaded lol maybe last time i could do it because i put both starter points into strength? i dunno but my first play through i could wait till nighttime but now you can only wait till 12 then its stuck at that time of the day till you get out of talmberg, it just tell you there is no time to waste.
I just jumped down from the drawbridge and escaped on foot. Didn’t bother with knocking out any guards or stealing any horses. It was quite simple.
What? Why does it work that way? I knocked out many guards and commoners, but my rep never went down and nobody tried to report me.
i just made a new game today so i dont know whether things have changed a little since patches but it was alot harder for me this time around. my first play through i was easily knocking guards out no problem and for some reason the guards were back and forward hanging around the armory non stop. i like to grab a set of armor and weapons before leaving talmberg it makes things easier at the start when you lose sir radzigs weapon and you are left with nothing
Why know the guards out? The easiest way out is to steal some guard gear from the gatehouse, then hop on your horse and ride right out. When you get to the gate of the outer bailey, just tell the guard you’re on a mission for the boss and he’ll let you right out. Then you don’t have to walk all the way plus have some gear.

My lockpicks broke then disappeared when i loaded a save back up so i needed to knock a guard out for his key but it wouldnt do it without them ressisting being knocked out from behind.
I just restarted the whole thing to get my lockpicks from skalitz again…
