Every crime I commit can somehow be retraced to killing livestock?

Ok, so this has been going for a while it seems in my saves but only know have I really started to notice it (I don’t really play thief that much) but whenever I get stopped by guards for a crime they say I’ve been killing livestock. picking a lock? -> livestock dead; attacking a citizen -> watch out, livestock! (this one has some sweet irony to it if you think about serfdom). I think you get the picture. :laughing:

It’s not really a problem since I rarely do anything crime related on my saves (unless necessary) but it is a clear bug.

You don’t happen to have meat marked as stolen on you from hunting do you? Just being curious. If not that is really weird.

can’t since I’m the Talmberg huntsman, but it seems like it might be an issue with random encounters. Accidentally hitting a guard and then getting fined for killing “livestock”. lol

Well, this is interesting.

Could you send me some of your saves? I am really curious what is happening there.
Might be also a symptom of a bigger problem.

Just send it through direct message here on forum.

Also ideally if you had some repro steps how to get to this problem.

eg:

  • load save XY
  • pickpocket someone so you are discovered
  • guard will come
  • guard will tell you that you have been hitting livestock

or something along those lines.

I can’t seem to find the location of the save files. :confused:

they are located here:

< system disc>:\Users\< your account>\Saved Games\kingdomcome\saves
there you will find playline folders which are numbered from zero to six
Which means that in the game playline 1 equals folder playline0

this is the only directory that has something to match but it’s an empty folder…

C:\Users\Default\Saved Games

EDIT: ok, actually found the save, it was on another profile :sweat_smile:

I have not yet installed the latest update, but I did want to say this was also occurring in my game on PS4 slim. I cannot say for certain when it started, but it was definitely right around the battle at Vranik, maybe a smidge before then.
