Far Cry Primal new setting new game?

What do you think? Will Ubisoft make a realistic game like KC:D or do you think it just will be another usual Far Cry game with another setting? Will there be roleplay elements?
I only played Far Cry 2 and 3 but it wasn’t my setting and has too less story in my opinion.

Those words never go together, ever.

hah yeah, after they basically replaced all the old redstorm guys with a bunch of design by committee millenial hipsters, all of their games have been watered down generic arcade stuff.

i don’t understand why there are always people who come out and ask if the next ubisoft announced game is going to be realistic. and every time the game turns to be to poor designed, simplified, and arcade.

don’t you see a pattern? ubisoft doesn’t do realistic games anymore. they haven’t for a very long time.

I think the setting of the game is interesting, but Ubisoft will take a giant steam shit on it and turn a game that takes place in pre civilization times into a arcade shooter, substituting guns for bows.

And far cry 4 just came out, are they going to go the Asscreed route with yearly releases, that get progressively worse?

I saw the trailer, but I wasn´t impressed. Looks very repeated and not really story driven. Not sure if they can tell a good story in this setting. Played part 2 and 3 through, but in the end I wanted only to finsh (to make a check).

Ha, ha,… but not every game must be realistic. Sometime just for fun…
The setting looks like they will have some (vodoo) magic and maybe some (primal) dragons

But there are plenty of games I´am waiting more…

Looks interesting will be following it for sure.

Most certainly not the level of realism WarHorse is aiming to achieve is “scary” to “AAA” publisher Execs and thus the whole reason KC:D needed crowd funding to aid in its creation.

This is my guess. Ubisoft is known for regurgitating the same concept over and over with a new paint job, I would not put it past them to keep up the trend.

FC2 is my favorite in the series perfect balance of gameplay mechanics environment, and an open world experience with a loose story line to help encourage exploration.

FC3 was fun but it fell victim to the same thing many games have been and that’s over compensating for user friendliness (added a pulsating glow to collectible objects and unlooted bodies).

FC3 Blood Dragon was Epicness and a half. with the best story line I have seen from Ubisoft in a longtime (sarcasm not intended).

FC4 I only played a few hours of because of the additional amount of hand holding killed the whole experience for me plus the fact that it was FC3 in different country.

Well, considered that its Ubisoft + it takes like 1476 AK-47 magasines to kill a beer in far cry 4 then I doubt how realistic they will make it…

But it looks promising and can be fun, im just glad they try something new and not make the same *****(’‘caughcaughAssassinsCreedcaughcaugh’’…) every year

I guess it will be a bad game as the last ones.
Yeah nice you can play a Male Character in BC times, again!
Welcome to the near-real vision of Peter Molyneux’s BC Game for XBOX^^
I promise, they do not know how to create an interesting game.
Interesting setting but nothing special. Everything which everyone has seen in the past.
And if people remember the times of Warhorses Publisher research,
They aren’t interested in creating real based games.
Same with these many “Survival” Games from this stupid Early Access Idea.
2 Month for the concept and 2 years to programing the game
and ready is an game for people with an IQ of 10!

I just wonder, do you say that Early Access is stupid or just some of the millions survival games?

Most of the survival games in connection with Early Access Idea.
Sometimes a fellowship of Blizzard^^
Change everything for the cheaters and hackers but ignore real and good ideas
or improvements, bug fixes, reports etc
I lose fun if i’m forced to start a new game again and again.
I know everything about the game with these terrible "every two month an update"
Best management for an survival game was and is at Stranded Deep or The Long Dark.
The ugliest one was The Forest… it is now a little bit better.
Good things come to those who wait.
I think it is unfair for more private Studios, like Warhorse.
EA, Ubisoft and WB have to program games under eyes of Early Access concept.
And Studios like Hinterland are loyal and are not liars,
they don’t need these monthly update style.
A good Hand in Hand work with Community can be realized without these concepts.
But we live in a different time! Where Graphics is more important as realistic
and deep interaction functions. :sleepy:
And I don’t want to forget the whole impatient people!

What was wrong about The Forest? It’s deffintly one of the good games on early access in my opinion, the worst for me that I REALLY don’t understand why has gotten that big is ARK…I mean ARK is not the worst game, there is deffintly worse Early Access games out there. But its the worst game for me consided the popularity which it totaly dont deserver in my opinion…

To be honest, I think Silent Hunter III was quite nice in beeing realistic.
