Features/Mods I would like to see added

Hey WH and Community,

Just want to say first of all that I love this game, I have spent the past couple of days since release playing constantly. Although I have thoroughly enjoyed pretty much every minute of playtime I have been thinking to myself of features or mods that might improve the experience whilst keeping the gritty hardcore gameplay at hand. Here are a couple of my suggestions :

  • Hired mercenaries : The ability to enlist some hired help in taverns or other seedy areas would be great. I was thinking that during the hiring/dialogue process you can choose to extend the time for which they stay with you e.g (12 hours 15 Groschen, 1 day 25 Groschen), they would follow you as a friendly NPC and aid you in combat with the exception of against guards unless they are paid a higher fee. The presence of mercs at your side could also buff your intimidation stats in conversation.

  • Item Hotbar/Radial bar : I don’t really think there is anything wrong with adding an item hotbar for quick access to different arrow types, food stuffs or potions.

  • Populated roads and Byways : Whilst roaming around and fast travelling in KCD I have noticed the dynamic encounters and some wandering peasants close to towns but apart from this the roads seem quite bare. If the roads and small paths could be populated with more travellers, merchants, patrols and wandering knights on horseback etc. then I believe it would add tremendously to the level of immersion.

  • Daily events and Festivals : I feel like this is quite a large missed opportunity. I remember the character ‘Nightingale’ talking about festivals and large get togethers in Rattay but I have yet to see or hear of any of these taking place. In theory, if added to the game these dynamic town/city wide events could range from hangings, public tourneys, baking festivals, parties at the tavern etc the possibilities of the time period are endless.

This is WIP and I will continue to update the list with other additions as I think of them. Feel free to add your own below.
