saddles and bridles are in the game already. there are also caparisons(horse clothes)
i think armor and lances are used more for pitched battles. you don’t travel around in them.
in terms of npc on horses, right now seems only some high status character ride them around towns or castles, but only short distance, they don’t travel the world like henry. i would be cool to see more npcs on horses ride out into the world and do things, but i understand the issue is that you will have to ride off to them when you want to talk with them for a quest or something. maybe have them patrol a smaller area around where they are based. like for capon, he rides his horse into town and just parks it there and never uses it for the rest of the day.
also, i don’t think i’ve ever used the pull off from horse feature. hopefully down the line they have some cuman horse patrols and bandits so you can destroy them with pole arms, which are also under utilized, but are definitely fun to use.
