Im really interested in the female character, I think it will add some nice little distraction from the main character, and I also hope that they will get the 700k, the motion capture would add so much to the game !
developers have said it is extra gameplay that was originally not planned. in some scenes in the teaser you can see character interacting with a young girl, so it was probably already part of the story, just not playable until now.
i also think this would be a very good way to implement a tutorial into the general storyline. later on, this plot could be picked up again and we could decide whether to follow this sidequests or not. this thought really makes me smile. 
Well, my point of view ā¦ Iām a guy, but for some reason in every game that gives me a choice I play with a female character. I was hoping dearly KC:D would reach 600k and now Iām real pleased ā¦ even though itās just a portion of the game, just that there is an alternative ā¦
After having had technical problems. Here I am again.
I never meant that she should be stupid enough t talk back at nobles, but it wasnāt like women played stupid inside their own class. There are letters by (mostly cheated) common women to their husbands or their husbandsā families from between the 1380s and 1510s, that are quite sharp tongued and witty.

Exactly, it creates a great opportunity for more questlines as the main guy. An idea would be for him to help her out somehow to return the favor.

I know it is probably not the best source (most of the facts seem OK, though), but look here at #2. I am not sure whether women were bullied into obedience and unable to talk back and show their wits in 1400.

I think that the woman we saw early in the livestream yesterday (18.feb) is the female character. In the cutscene she tell us that she saved the main charecter, which also was in the description of the stretch goal: āwhere you play as a young woman that saves the lead charaecter in the beginning of the game.ā
Realistic armour. Well-rounded story. You knowā¦like a human being.
