Finally completed the game on hardcore with all negative perks. Its not really all that hard, just grindy because you cant go rushing into combat and you rank up slower
I played the hardcore and the difficulty is picking a choosing your fights until your skills improved. Even then the fights were tricky.

For me it was all fun and games until I got the Cuman killer perk. Now Cumans die by my sword in that all two familiar two strikes and you’re out regardless of the fact that I am using a one handed sword and they are in full plate. Still, other bandits pose a challenge so it is not too bad I guess but really disappointed that they didn’t rework the combat skill progression as skills still make combat too easy.
Hardcore was not really hard just slower. Foods still too easy to get. Never had any shakes or other things, just dreamed of jesters and sleep walked. It seemed like even before my stats were 10 or above I was sliding into home. I like the beginning where anything is possible. The end is just cut scene after cut scene with comic book booty collecting in-between

yeah i didnt find harder, just slower and more enjoyable

If you have played the game once as a learning tool, hardcore is the only way to go. No little windows telling you go, do, be. The simple act of having to remember land features so you don’t get lost. Walking in my sleep was the best part.
