Hey Guys,
I’m just finishing this wonderful game and tried to do as many activities and side quests, as possible.
My impressions so far:
-
The main questline feels a bit short for me. I would make more side quests mandatory for the main line

Altho the money is challenge at the beginning, after some farm by the midgame, Henry became close to a millioner. At least after 40k+ Groschen I didn’t care too much about anything in the game. I would cut down the prices of the loot drastically, to keep a healthy challenge and goal to buy the best gear.

Bows: many complaints about bows and its missing perks. As you level your bow skill, the wabble slowly fhase out and you also learn and practise how to shoot. With a Yew Long Bow or a Yew Cuman Bow I easily one shot any oppontent to the head (killed 9 cumans in a row at Vipers Nest). So bow is the most leathal weapon in the game if you spend some time to learn (and practise) its use. I like it and wouldn’t change this.

Combat: As I wrote already, money is not an issue, and with endgame gear and weapons, Henry become a terminator, even versus multiple opponents. You should just make a clinch and hit them on the nose, and bash them 1-2 times with a ceremonial mace, and done. Even the strongest enemies go down immediatelly. In addition, I’m a total loser in the fights and only have 10-12 weapon skills. I can imagine, what a skilled player could do with even higher weapon skills…
So In my oppinion, I would tune down drastically the damage, and raise up the prices by a lot. Also the AI of the opponents are very week. Wehen I had to fight multiple enemies, they stricly wait for their turns, instead of hack me at once from different directions. So even a blind mole (how do you say: Krteček?) can slash/bash them to pieces
I don’t know, maybe a difficulty level setting could do the job well. For eg on higher difficulty you get -50, -100, -200% Groschen at selling, buy +50, +100, +200%. Also the same with damage dealt.
Somewhere here I already read about a “Poor Henry” setup, where the player restricted himself, in order to increasing difficulty. I liked that idea, so now I will play the game agin, but with severe restrictions, like I try to use only leather armors, and basic weapons.
A bit off-topic, but this summer our family vacation will be in Praha
