Were you locking into combat when you approached enemies with a weapon or was it treating them as if they were allies? Trying to figure out if you got the same bug

I gave up and am now doing side quests. I’ll try to come back to this after I’ve exhausted the side quests - and I’ll try to sabotage the camp first.

If you stay far enough away from enemies you wont lock on to them. Its not necessary for you to fight anyone in this quest until the boss fight.
LOL I tried fighting the first few attempts on this mission and its a mess. Enemy combat skills are much better, they will just combo you to death easily if youve only been playing the main quest missions up until this point , b/c theres not really much fighting in main quests at this juncuture in the game.
If you do enough side quest that involve fighting youll eventually get your combat skill high enough to have much easier time defeating enemies.
Although , its not really nessary to do that in this quest. You just have to keep retrying it, stay away from the fighting mobs, keep you eyes on Rodzik and the other dude and hope they stay in the fight area b/c they cant be killed in this mission. Try standing in different spots on the 2nd fight area, eventually your men will win the fight , Ram the door down, and the cutscene will trigger so you can fight Runt.
