Noticing that flickering shadows/lights are back. Specific conditions seem to be related to interior light sources such as the fire under a cooking pot. There are no issues during the daytime.
Workaround seems to be to change (lower/higher doesn’t matter) Lightning under the Advanced Graphics Setting tab in the Settings menu, which causes the game to go into a rather long loading sequence. Problem resumes once I load the application again.
