Freezing in town

I’ve had this game for a few days and haven’t ventured out of the first town. I keep getting random town freezes that last 6 seconds+. I’m not sure if it happens out of towns like in the wilderness because i haven’t tested it out. My fps is consistent and doesn’t usually hit under 50. The freezing occurs whether or not I play on low or on high settings. My question is if the game is poorly optimized for PC or is it my computer specs? i more than meet the minimum system requirements. If it’s the game then please PATCH!

My Computer Specs:
i5-4690k CPU @3.50 GHZ
16GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970
Windows 7 64-bit

I’ve been having the exact same issues in the starting town. It can’t be my drivers as those are up to date, I even clean installed them.

Cpu: i5 6600k
Gpu: Gtx 970
16 RAM
Windows 7 (64bit)

I’m speculating it’s only when your CPU hits 100% usage and that’s likely to happen 1. in towns 2. on a 4 core or lesser CPU. Somehow Windows 10 fixes these issues if you’re prepared for a radical solution.

Yup. Don’t know why but upgrading to Windows 10 almost completely stopped the freezing.

I have no interest in upgrading to Windows 10 at the moment, and I shouldn’t have to just to play this game. I guess i’ll just wait till they releases some patches then.

Will upgrading to windows 8 or 8.1 be sufficient enough to stop the freezing?

i5 3570k and I have same issues.

I speculated that too. My CPU hits 64%+ when moving around in town and it hits 100% when I freeze. Considering I’m not tech savy do you think switching my Kingdom Come Deliverance usage to high priority will solve the issue? Also if I do what’re the consequences of switching it to high priority?

Same, my CPU will hit between 90 -100% usage when the game freezes. I did try to set the game to high priority in task manager but it still didn’t fix the issue. I currently cant get past the first area. They need to hurry up and patch this.

I hear they’re gonna patch some things in 2 weeks or less but I don’t know if they’re gonna patch the freezes for sure. I know they’re attempting to fix the fps/stutter issues/drops that occurs in town.

It’s down to poor optimization.
