After downloading From the Ashes, I started frequently being unable to load save files (which results in them being deleted, costing me hours of gameplay) and frequent crashes of the game. I am on PS4, and I wonder if it is because of my system or because of the DLC. It did not start with 1.6, as when I downloaded 1.6 it was fine, but after the DLC this started happening. Before this, I have only crashed 1 time, and that was in the very launch hours of the game. However, never before have my save files been unable to load, only after this DLC did it start. Anyone have a fix?
Unfortunately you cannot fix this, you just happen to be the 2% group.
When they announced the addition of the DLC, they said some save files may not load correctly due to certain game logic fighting itself. Similar to too many mods in fallout or skyrim for instance. Could be something as simple as the code is jumbled and is telling the game to render 20 instances of the game at once.
