From the ashes: Recruitable guards as followers

Hey all, I am new to the forums but have been playing KC:D since release, so I apologize if this was already posted.

Anyways, I think it would be a good idea to allow Henry to use the Pribyslavitz townguard to accompany him on missions to destroy bandit/cuman camps. This would give Henry a better fighting chance against camps that have more than five cumans/bandits in them, and can also help lay the groundwork for perhaps larger battles that require armies.

I really like this idea. But I think it may cause more complaints as when the guards inevitably die, they will just auto respawn (they’ll have to otherwise WH will need to introduce some means of recruiting guards, which they currently don’t have…for some reason).

Didn’t think of that ; agreed, a way to hire guards when they are killed is also a must; maybe even allow us to issue their own arms and armor as was the norm during the Middle Ages.

It is an idea that sounds great in theory but would be hard to implement in practice.

I would love to be able to arm my soldiers, that should actually not be such a difficult thing to put into the game. Or maybe it is, when it comes to KCD I actually do not know what is easy or hard to implement. Do not get me wrong because I love the game and WH has really made something unique with this game, but it seems that every new thing in the game also breaks something.
