Not want to get any discussions; Mathew and Fritz are a bunch of aseholes that should die.
Still, I want to try to keep those dicks alive and let them work in my shite pribyslavitz (still hate that name).
I did the buggy quest of Gallows Brothers; I stole the money in Talmberg and gave it to those two pricks. After that, they still say they have problems to solve before working for me in that shite town. What is this? What do I need to do to get these pricks work for me?

I just completed that quest a few days ago and did it the same way you did but I was able to recruit them. Stole the money from Talmberg and gave them 1000 each at the quarry. I asked fritz at the quarry and he said yes and I followed Mathew back to the inn and he said yes.

Hi,

Have you also finished Rock and a hard place quest?
Both Gallows brothers and this quest have to be finished (or failed) for you to be able to recruit them.

Rock and a hard place, is that the one where you have to put the bag in the basement of Andrew’s Inn?
I said to Matthew to leave Andrew be, so I did not snitch on either the two idiot friends or Andrew.

Also weird that I, rich as hell in this game, can not just give those guys some money from my own. I don’t want to rob Talmberg and I don’t need to, since I have all the money that is needed.
Like that vagebond in Rattay, who ask you to steal from a guard. You have the option to give him money of your own. Would be nice option in this Gallows Brothers quest.

Rock and a hard palce is a quest about stealning the mony from Talmberg’s quarry
Gallows brothers is a quest about snitching on Mathew, fritz and Andrew.

If any of those quests are still active, you won’t be able to recruit the guys.

Figured it out. Seems that Gallows Brothers is the quest I still had standing open. I did not want to get Andrew killed and said to leave him be. Seems that those not let the case close. Only way to end that quest is to set Andrew up.

For people who don’t want to do that; don’t talk to Andrew (or don’t ask him what he suggest to do), so that quest never starts. Than you can finish the Rock and a hard place and get the two idiots work for you, without Andrew getting killed.

“A Rock & A Hard Place” or “Gallows Brothers” where they have a positive outcome in order to invite them to Pribyslavitz. At the moment they’re likely on the ridge above the Talmberg quarry in your game and if you ask them to come to town they’ll say they can’t because they have problems of their own (aka their questline is unfinished). I wasn’t happy with the fact that the only way to get them to move to Pribyslavitz was to rob the Talmberg quarry workers of their wages one way or another. I really hope there is a “lawful good” way to recruit them to town but I haven’t read about one.

This and the witch rape quest are the worst of the game. I imagine someday they would fix this garbage, but whatever, it is what it is.

I got the Cuman gear so I could get Bianca’s brother. After that, I haven’t (and won’t) bother with the old Skalitz buddies. Throwing :poop: is one thing; being a criminal is another. The quest afterwards is equivalent to finding the best way to piss on your own bed.
