I had the same Problem, but I get it fixed by backtracking where it comes from.
I knocked out a wandering Knight at the Road with the Special Head-hitting-Knockout skill. That probadly broke my save file. I had to replay about 4 Hours but after that workaround the new save file seams to be fine. This is just a try to explain what happened to your save files no official workaround. But it was just after the Robber Baron.

I think the solution is for everybody to ask for a refund, warhorse could be looking at a massive lawsuit over this. This by no way meets the criteria for a playable game that is worth the full msrp

Same exact thing. After i turned in robber baron. I played quite a while after this, so it’s hard for me to say if that’s the exact cause. This is the SECOND time this game has given me a game ending glitch. I put in 35+ hours into this play through. I understand the limitations of smaller game studios, and the bugs that come from release, but this is inexcusable. I thought the game was nearly unplayable with the other bugs but now it actually is. It breaks my heart because I was having such a great time, but if they don’t patch this for us, I think I’m done playing and will ask for a refund.

I have the same issue, I’m on about save #78 and now it will not load any more saves. so my progress is stuck in this very expensive game. I have not done the Robber Barron side quest, so that’s not the issue.
Anyone have a support number to call? or a refund number?

I also got the bug. I played a while after the Robber Baron though, though. All my saves seem to be not functioning.

So to continue on from the robber baron quest… I did some testing as I work in QA and I can’t help myself… If I saved right after the robber baron and before I turned it in… my saves worked fine. if i saved after the turn in my saves were corrupted. i have since completed the quest and played 10+ hours beyond the robber baron and my saves are still working 3 days later. won’t help everyone already there, but i found it interesting.

Unfortunately I join the list of people who have this issue. I have not done the Baron Robber quest yet, nevertheless this evening my saves will no longer load. So disappointing because I have loved playing the game!!! but I am now massively frustrated at the prospect of having to replay hours of the same gameplay again, I really, really hope the developers have a solution to this which means I won’t loose hours of game play. Come on guys, please sort it.

I am on playstation 4. This issue hit me yesterday. i understand this is a "new"er developer so bugs are to be expected. People are on here asking These guys to be sued and what not. Thats not neccesary. The game is amaxing.
Yet…
a bug where all your progress is now corrupted for no reason is unnacceptable. I am beyond angry, As now not only do i need to start from scratch, its not even worth it. Should the game corrupt my files again.
Please, warhorse, make this issue your MAIN PRIORITY.
No more corrupt save files.

Same problem here, I have played 12 hours of the game and havent done robber baron quest. I love it but this problem really makes me sad. Hopefully it is fixed soon.
I’m playing on PS4, and the same happened to me with the “Game Load Failed.” I didn’t play the Baron quest either. This happened multiple times with both autosaves from sleeping, autosaves from storey progress, and solid saves from Savior drink (can’t recall official name).
This is a huge disappointment. I’m not going to be playing the game until a major update is released. I already downloaded the update released on 2/19/2018 with version 1.2 (the 23 GB update). It’s a waste of time to play the game until it’s resolved because it ends up setting one hours back in gameplay.
Warhorse Studios, how would you feel if all your progress in improving the game to actually be playable were constantly erased, and each time it were erased, it set you back in days of having to rewrite all your code again? It’d be frustrating, right? Please make this game playable/saveable. Also, Warhorse Studios, please make saving more frequent.
Sadly I join this sorry company of players. I hav 61 hours to this point, but yesterday I could not load any of my save files. I had just finished the side quest “Playing with the Devil”. I tried the fixes on youtube but nothing worked. So now this great game is unplayable…

“Den of Vipers” quest broke my saves…33 hours wasted… i hope they can fix it, i can’t play the game and don’t want to restart it.

I have a similar problem. 4 of my last savefiles are corrupt. I’m almost 73 hours in, luckily though, I am able to load previous saves so I just lose around 2h of gameplay but it is still very annoying as now I will never know when my files will corrupt again. I don’t think I’ve ever done the Robber Baron quest so in my case it has nothing to do with it. PC version here. Also I will gladly send my save files, just tell me where to and where am I supposed to look for them.
