Even after the last ps4 update the game does not save properly. I drank a saviour schnapps because i was going to try something quite risky. I then failed and fell to my death. When i wanted to load the save game it wasnt there but instead i had to load the “newest” savegame which was a savegame from quite a while back. Is “game saved” just a cosmetic title? Come on guys make the game actually check if a save happened. Having to do stuff again and again because you get killed is annoying enough, but to finally succeed only to have a bug destroy your progress is enfuriating. SOLUTION: turns out you manually need to delete some of the correct kind of savegames for the game to save again
I notice that too on ps4.
Even if the patch says “Saving system is more safe” or something like that, seems that they didn’t fix a fondamental thing like this -.-.
I experience that with the new feature “Save and Exit”
The game only allows you to have a certain amount of saves. It could be you have to delete some older ones to make room. I’m not exactly sure how many but it sounds like that could be the issue your having. Press square to delete unused saves. Also the message ‘game saved ok’ will not appear when this happens. Other than that i havent noticed anythin else wrong with the save system myself. except when i delete more than two at a time i experiance about a 10 second delay in the deletion process . Ps4 pro.
Yes i have 58 savegames, i actually figured it may be something like that so indeleted some old apps from the ps4 to make room, and then deleted some old saves as well. But sadly the game just refuses to save. It will tell me game saved if i sleep, advance the main quest or drink schnapps. But when i check if there is an actual savegame present its not there. It stopped saving anything after “questions and answers - inform sir radzig”
Actually tried deleting more savegames now because i noticed there were various icons on savegames. Tried deleting a few of all types and now the game saved again. Well thats kinda horrible design…
