Gamepad controls

Hey, I had a small suggestion to make as far as gamepad controls are concerned.

While in combat I keep losing lock on the enemy when trying to change my attack stance/direction. I think that if it was a hard lock on the enemy that could be toggled on and off by clicking R3 (right stick button) then I wouldn’t be constantly turning away from the enemy in the middle of the fight. And if you wanted to change enemies I think it would work pretty easy to untoggle one and move over to toggle the next.

Also I have not found when the left trigger (push/kick) can be used. I thought it would at least work when you lock swords with the opponent, but it doesn’t ever seem to do anything.

Thanks

I second this, I have been trolled by the system several times trying to change direction. As for push, it works fine for me though.

Yes, I third the hard lock suggestion. The push/kick works when locked together, I always use it to push the enemy away. It might be dependent on stamina whether it works.

Also, am I the only one who would love block to be left trigger and push/kick be left bumper? Seems more intuitive to me.

I want this as well, overall I hope we will be able to map our own keys I would like R3 to be stab.

I liked the idea of a hard lock until I fought both cumans. its nice being able to break free and lock onto another enemy fluidly without a button press. It just takes time and patience to develop more finesse and not break lock when adjusting stance.

I agree you should be able to switch targets but there should be a hard combat lock. Maybe because it’s so enclosed that I keep flicking too far but I’d like to be able to not worry about it.

Believe it or not I do not have this problem. I just barely move the stick in the direction I want it to go until that spot is high lighted and use it… idk I kind of play on lower sensitivity so that may have something to do with it.

Why this is not the case already is beyond me, it just seems like the most logical of mappings.
