I’ve read almost all pinned posts and hence being aware this might not reach the eyes of those in charge, but i thought it is worth to discuss the “quality of life” and realism improvements in the game.
The One (pun intended) which bothers me most is obviously “1 HOUR” slowdown on the time wheel, which is completely unnecessary. I know the saying from many cultures stating how last hour is the longest hour, but in this scenario and after you saw it for 1000 time already, it is just a chore. Did you guys ever heard about User Experience?
Moving on, the fast travel, while interesting concept at the start of the game which i looked forward to every time i had to travel, is turned to be yet another chore i need to get trough. Kingdom Come has the slowest fast travel i ever saw in the game and going from one corner of the map to another can take minutes. Really? I can go faster with Tier 5 horse from point A to point B then to travel with “fast travel”.
I’m not saying it should be removed. It is actually very good concept i salute, but for the love of God, kind Sir’s, please make my figurine move way faster then it does.
For the game that insist on “realism” i find it to be done quite poorly. It is realistic only when it likes to be, while in other cases is mostly not.
For instance, i find it quite odd for NPC’s to start working from 9am. It makes no sense. Are you telling me people in 15th century were sleeping till 8:30am? It’s ridiculous. They were getting up with first sun rays or even earlier, i can bet all my hard earned Groschen to that.
As for stolen goods, how does the trader know i have hot stuff if no one saw me stealing them? I would agree they would be at least suspicious if i show up in rags trying to sell some expensive ring or have bad rep, but when knight in shiny armour with awesome rep tries to sell some gambeson… where is the suspicion in that? Or they have X-ray vision over entire map and can see me stealing in other town… stupid, is what it is.
What do you guys think of it? Have you found any annoying chore or a realism conflict in your gameplay? How do you deal with it?
