Getting people in Rattay to stop hating me

Hello,

I did something bad (little spoiler: when the miller asks me to steal the ring from the gravedigger, I had to fight him), and now almost everyone in Rattay don’t want to talk to me or trade with me. I get the option to pay a quite generous sum of coin to make up for it, but here goes my question. Do Ihave to pay this sum for each character I want to talk with or paying it once will make everyone in Rattay forgive me? And secondly, is there any other way to get forgiveness aside from paying?

Thanks!

If its a sum of coins that you have to pay a guard (I assume so because your character commited a crime, you should know by the red coinpurse by the town name, perhaps in the map) then it should only be a one-time thing

No, it’s not a guard, and there’s no red coinpurse icon beside the town’s name. It’s almost every shopkeeper in the city. They tell me to go away, and I have a dialog option like “Come on now, there’s no need for that”, and when I say that I get the option to pay around 200 coins (I assume to get the shopkeeper’s forgiveness). My question is if paying this will solve the problem with all shopkeepers at once or just the one I pay it to. Thanks.

Give water to the convict. Make story progress. Help people… Go for quests…
I think there is also a Perk which helps…

Ah that’s probably a bribe, I don’t really know but I would expect for each person unless you redeem yourself another way somehow?

I’m having the same problem. Anyone know what things I can do to get back in the favour of the people of Rattay?

The best thing to do would be to do all the favors and side quests in rattay to get your reputation back up. It makes sense for honest people not wanting to talk to or do buisness with a criminal
