So after reloading the game to the prey mission after the patch i did everything again and talked to all charcoal burners killed the bandits with the help of the captain talked to the captain informed both twins and the spokesman then when i get to the cottage ginger is hiding he just keeps sleepïng and sleeping… i cant wake him up ive waited for over 3 days now ingame and he still wont wake up ive tried reloading the game several times nothing seems to resolve this super anoying bug

I am having the same issue. Tried leaving the area and sleeping, tried quitting and restarting the game, nothing so far. Dudes like rip van winkle!
been having the same problem, don’t know what could be done, can’t even attempt to do the pickpocket workaround. Really frustrating.
for me he’s awake but he’s just sitting on the floor, tried pick-pocketing him but he just came back and sat down again.
He was sleeping for me at first too. Then I walked to some other woodcutter who then told me to talk to Ginger. When I went back to him he was getting up from his bed.
Same issue! Frustrating, got the insomniac achievement trying to wait it out and have nearly starved to death.
Ended up fixing this by restarting and going to twin in GREEN suit rather than RED after killing bandits.
Same issue here. It didn’t help me to talk to the green guy the secon time. Also the objective “Talk to Ginger’s guards” failed when I talked to him instead of the red guy.
It’s just stupid that you can get stuck on the main quest. This is a beta product.
Same issue… This is pretty much game breaking. Can we get an answer on this?
edit: I failed a pickpocket, he ran off. I waited for an hour and he was sitting on his bedroll, awake. Quest worked after that.
Hi Kirk, thanks for sharing this! How could you pickpocket him? I don’t have that option…
You have to learn the skill from the miller. Just crouch near him once you know the skill and the option should be there.
Ginger’s have no soul, not surprised he won’t wake up - there ain’t nobody there in that lifeless body.

Edit: I learned pickpocket skill and went back to Ginger who was awake!
