Having begun to replay the KCD after a few months break and begun the Good Thief quest to get the ring from the executioner.
Now as I did in my first play through I opted to talk to him and buy the ring from him, as it’s so much less hassle and I suck at lock picking.
Everything goes as normal I buy the ring and he gives it to me, except the ring does not appear in my inventory and the quest does not register the fact I’ve brought the ring and to give it to Miller Peshek; it just now says to search the miller’s home for it. Only now my only options of doing so are knocking him out or killing him… again breaking into his house and chest via lock picking is not an option for me.
So now I am faced with the choice of constantly refusing the quest and peeing the Miller off, loosing rep or taking the quest and not being able to finish it because essentially that dam ring has ceased to exist.
