Graphic settings menu do not change anything

I just installed KCD via GOG-Installer and ran into a problem. Every graphics preset and any combination within the advanced graphics settings menu result in the exact same visuals. None of the settings seems to work.

I tried all versions from 1.6 up with different Installers provided on gog.com. Also I tried all graphics drivers upwards from 18.5.1. It does not change anything. Running as administrator also without any change.

My system:
CPU: Ryzen 7 1700
GPU: AMD RX Vega64 Reference
RAM: 16GB DDR4-2666

Game was installed on both - HDD and Sata-SSD. First on my “games”-partition, then also on windows systempartition.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

sent ticket to GoG? try the repair?
I can run only mostly at medium settings ( to anything usable for fps on my system) and never seems to be a problem.
I used the auto installer.

I opened a thread on the gog-forums but I didn’t think about a ticket to gog support, thanks.
Repair did not help at all sadly.
Just randomly after a restart and a bit of time I started the game once more and suddenly other graphics settings were in place. So, visuals have changed but I’m not able to change any setting ingame. Changes just won’t be recognized by the game and visuals stay the same.

In the meantime I have been in contact with KCD support.

Deleting the “profiles” folder at :\Users<your account name>\Saved Games\kingdomcome helped.

Now I am able to change settings. Only strange behaviour is that I can not pick a preset below “high”, if HD Textures are turned on. Settings below “high” within the advanced settings are saved and applied on the other hand.

So I guess the problem is not solved completely, but at least now I can set it up as I want it to.

If I can report a solution to the last bug appearing, I will post an update here.

Support told me that you are right and this is intended.
Therefore all problems are solved.
