Graphical settings testing results

I am going to log my graphics testing results here. For now I have tested at 30Hz max, tomorrow I will test 60Hz max and maybe unlimited FPS as well.

Edit: just use the presets, save yourself the time.

System: Ryzen 5 1600 3.8Ghz, 16gb ram 2666 cl14, NVME SSD operating system, Sata SSD games, ASUS GTX 1080 A-8gb 2025Mhz Core 2575Mhz mem.

Legend: GU=GPU usage %
MU=memory usage in Gb
CPU-c=CPU temp in C
CU=CPU usage %
RU=Ram usage in Gb
PF=pagefile usage Gb
MIN=FPS minimum
AVG=FPS average
MAX=FPS maximum
1%= 1% low FPS
.1%= .1% low FPS
1=low, 2=med, 3=high, 4=v high, 5=ultra, 0-20=Ob, LOD, Veg distance
(The settings used will be listed as a string of numbers. Order of settings: object quality, game effects, lighting, particles, physics, postprocessing quality, shader quality, shadows, textures, water details, volumetric effects details, veg detail, object distance, LOD distance, veg distance. example: 222111225515, 20, 20, 20. the string of numbers is graphics settings and the last 3 numbers are the draw distances)

Base settings 30 FPS: 1080p, HD textures, FOV 75, Fullscreen, Anti-alias off, Motion blur off, 30Hz refresh rate

I see this hit the top of posts again and notice that it is being kept up to date.

I will, in time (hopefully) update this text with some numbers.
Was the only reason I didnt pass a comment on the OPs post- which would be- using High Def textures on all runs might muck up the performance of the so called ā€˜low settingsā€™; especially if there is some sort of loading/streaming bottleneck (is implied with results).
True ā€˜low settingsā€™ (1111111s) wouldnt have the HD textures.

My rig:
CPU: Intel 5920k;@3.9Ghz with 3.3Ghz cache on X99 platform
RAM: 16Gb Quad Channel DDR4 at cl13 and cr1
GPU: 4Gb AMD Fury @1065Mhz
STORAGE: Enterprise M2 SSD (1200MBs per second)
OTHER: ASUS Xonar/Wacom/wireless xbox 360 receiver
OS: Win10
User level: Advanced

These are some temp numbers to show what a three-four year old entry level enthusiast rig will do; (will update)

Ignoring two or three known points with crazy overdraw (eg first shop in Skalitz/Entering Rattay from west side) as all machines presently bomb in these locationsā€¦ (will get fixed when someone looks at models - I will put money on these early assets having ā€˜double sided trianglesā€™)

Settings: 1920x1080 Ultra everything/all sliders maxed/no motuon blur (preference due to using a TV with full motion resolution and getting high framerates)ā€¦ antialiasing down one settingā€¦
Lows 30 (very rare)
Mostly 40s in trickier areas
Generally 55-60

Dropping shadows to very high generally a 10% increase

Dropping shadows to high (everything else Ultra except AA down a notch and no motion blur)
Lows 40 (very rare)
45-50 in harder areas
Mostly 60

I use Shadows setting either very high on 1920x1080 and on the 21:9 @ 2560x1080 I use Shadows High.

Never had the issues many speak of. Draw distances lowered a little with patch 1.2-1.3
Only ever seen pop in after those patches about three times total (once every hundred or so hours of gameplay).
Latest 1.4.3 seems to have improved distant objects loading so that nothing ā€˜fades inā€™.

All testing above is with volumetric fog switched on (e_volumetricfog=1)
