Graphics beta vs. release

Why the graphics became worse compared to the BETA version, would there be a patch for the PCs? I really liked the graphics in the beta.

I’m also very disappointed by the graphic downgrade. I still love the game, its really cool! But visually speaking, this is a very different game from the beta. Especially the woods now looks very different andI really dont get why. If you have a good enough pc, you should be able to turn up the settings…

Hmm looks like Volumetric fog is disabled? lighting also looks flatter and textures look uglier

im actually okay with the different 3d models, but i also think the volumetric fog did a huge difference…

the old models look significantly more realistic. I seriously hope that modders will “re-enable” those or create them from scratch. I remember the good old Crysis 1 texture and vegetation mods that transformed the game.

I went and checked, I still have the beta and yes the foliage, lighting, sunlight effects and general atmosphere is totally different. I didn’t notice at first because I didn’t play the Beta much due to performance but going in and checking it for myself I can see how much they have taken out. These images are straight out of the Beta, no effects added just raw screenshots and settings are Very High in Graphics options in game, the highest that is possible.

Heres a trick to jump over the beta fence. For everyone who can’t get enough of those amazing visuals. I never did to not spoil for the game, but fuck that now.

Hmm maybe we can get Warhorse to unlock them for us as a gift to PC Gamers who have backed them since day 1?

They need to collectively write, I think they can pay attention and add with time, the graphical capabilities of the beta version for a powerful PC, especially in the beginning of development they said that the PC is in their priority
