On PC as of 1.41 no more dropped pole arms in towns.
Also unless you mod you can’t carry and use them or sell them.
PC. And yes. I’ve got a mod to be able to handle halberd.
1.41 i got some halberts laying around in town. I was able to pick them Up, in the Bandit Camp sneak i was also able to use them without mod. (Damm Phone Auto correct in Different language. )
Glad that for you the thing was sorted out. I’m currently running the latest patch (1.4.2) and Rattay is full of halberds and racks laying on the ground.

Speaking of pole weapons, what’s the deal with them? Waaaay back in the day when I heard they were going for a realistic/authentic depiction of combat, I was crossing about 19 fingers that I would finally get a game that lets me fight with spears and such…and KCD kind of lets you fight with them, but they’re severely underdeveloped and I wasn’t even able to sell those that I found and had no use for. Another feature that was abandoned when time ran out, or…?
They are just too OP.
The enemies have to swarm you to have a Chance. But they are not programmed to do so. Ist like using a bow on a Horse. …
