but he is cool.
I sided with him because
Spoiler
Divish was the one who helped him escape from Talmberg so would assume that divish thought he was innocent. Also it comes out Nick framed Hare as well.
Always side with the hare he is innocent innocent I say
Hanekin hare good or bad
He is NOT good because he kills the guards from Talmberg.
Would be more cool if he only knocks them outā¦
I disagree. That would make it too black and white, basically an easy decision.
There is weight to your choice because he is not a quintessential good guy.
He runs away because he is accused to kill one person.
To āclearā his name he came back and kills 4 guards,ā¦ he kidnap one women, he blackmails the huntsman and poaches in the Talmberg woods. Poaching alone would be enough for death penalty.
There is no gray. If you side with him, you are an outlawed bandit.
Today you would be called a terrorist.
(It would be cool if there is a story line for a bad Henryā¦ )
It would be cool to see a kind of goofy character such as Henry descend to that bad guy line. People around him pleading the case trying to drag him back form the brink but ultimately it is the players call. Henry has all the motive and means there now to indulge his darker side.
As for the Hare, plenty of people are perfectly decent on the front, but it is only held together by the thread of their current reality. that reality they can deal with, they are essentially just monsters kept in check, that thread snaps, you put them in a state outside of that, and youāll see what really lies beneath.
The Hare for me is one of these, you had a weasel of a guy try to snatch the Hares accepted reality from him and take it as his own, and out came the monster.
Heād probably be best characterized as neutral good. In the questline, he only really kills in self defense, if he has to kill at all. Henry can find out Hareās location without hunting down every poacher in the area. The latter option leads to a bad confrontation. He was wrongfully accused, and unless he flees the region for good, pretty much every confrontation will be a life or death situation. He chose to stick around to clear his name and see justice done, which was brave and honorable.
I think he is good because he is good
??? In my playthrough he didnāt kill anyone, or fight any guards? I am not sure what i did differently, but i talked to the people in town, and wound up talking to Margaret who said she met Hare at night, and he wanted to see her again, but she didnāt want to go, so she sent me. I met him, and he told me the story. I helped him kidnap. What are you guys talking about, he never kills any guards?
If you donāt talk to Margaret, you can find him via an alternate approach. This involves hunting down the other poachers in the region, and infiltrating their clique. Upon one particular meeting of all the poachers, including Henry and Hare, guards arrive and attack, forcing Henry to make a decision.
Noted, i have a couple play throughs going, i joined one up and experienced it. I chose the guards, then hare took off running. The guards in my scenario won, i chased Hare back to his lair and talked to him. Still he didnāt kill anyone, and Nicholas was still banished or ran away. So there seems to be a couple ways the story plays out.
Strange. He did not kill any guards in my playthrough, yet its true he came with the idea of kidnapping Margaret.
This happened with me too. The mildly silly thing is Robard has to be killed if you side with the poachers (either you or they kill him) and yet heās labelled as just āguardā or suchlike and is in the rest of the game.
