Hans capon complains it's too dark when it isn't

EDIT: okay, my mistake. the sunset and sunrise times are actually accurate considering it’s summer.
but then hans shouldn’t say it’s too dark. oh well, it’s not much of an issue anyway.
however, an issue this brings about is that shops close quite early, considering that they should probably maximize daylight for profit.

Before anything else, I just wanna say that I enjoyed this game a lot despite its shortcomings. My only regret is that now I long for this game when I’m at work and can’t play :frowning:

anyway, one thing that bothers me is how long the daylight is in the game. 7pm is still bright and it only gets dark at around 9pm. also, 5am is already bright. i tried waking hans capon at 6am in a quest, and he complains it’s still dark even though it isn’t.

just a small thing, but i thought i’d let you know.
if anyone knows if it’s possible to adjust this by tinkering with the game files, please tell me how. thanks!!!

Daylight saving.

This game has lots of little quirks like that, I fear most of them will never be fixed…

Seems about right to me. Check out the real times of sunrise/sunset in Prague,

@Smeg nope, daylight savings doesn’t work like that.

@Bullethead so, 6:33 is sunrise and 5:53 is sunset. which means daylight is approx. 12 to 12 and a half hours. but by my observation in the game, daylight lasts for 16 hours. try playing the game at 7pm (19:00) in game time and you’ll see it’s still bright.

I think it’s a really simple issue and probably only one variable needs to have its value changed. the problem is i don’t know where to look.

No, in the middle of March (which is about the time you wake up in Rattay), there are about 12.5 hours of full daylight and another couple hours of twilight where’s it still bright enough to see easily, so nearly 15 hours of light out of 24.

I was being sarcastic about a trivial complaint. As far as daylight hours depends on the month. In UK some months have 16 to 16 1/2 hours daylight. Sometimes doesn’t get dark until 10pm

The game is set most likely in the summer where the day time is a lot longer… but your the NPC complains it’s still dark even though it isn’t should change as the game does not reflect it… better comment might be “stop bothering me i’m trying to sleep” or something like that…

i know it’s trivial, i even acknowledged that in the OP. i just said it bothered me and asked if there is a solution that i can do by myself.

i did some research and daylight in prague lasts about 12 hours. if it weren’t the case, then at least hans shouldn’t complain that it’s dark when it isn’t.

Hans is a noble that needs his beauty sleep, and doesn’t need some peasant waking him up at the crack of not even noon.
