Hans Capon - no clothes

Well, this is about an old bug that has been around since the start of the game.
Hans, lovely piece of shite he is, walking around in his underwear from the start of - ironic as it is - the quest “The clothes make the man”. Okay, so we have a bug there and dipshit is walking around in his underwear.

Now we are a further ahead in time and development. We even have a dlc with this same main character in a main role. Shit, his name is even in the dlc name! Guess what, the bug is still there. Those fckers at Warhorse still did not solve the bug (wich seems to come from a little fcking box with clothes that will not give the option to unlock, simple I say). Even within the first few minutes you encounter a noble who will, again, let you know how important clothes are. Are you joking? I mean, come on, if you want realism and crap like that , at least let the highest noble character in the game, a character with a very big part in the game, have some clothes! Fix that stupid ass bug!

Been decrying this for months and I know WHS people have seen what I post. absolutely dumb to not fix this. Even rides into robber baron in his undies.

I don’t think that insulting people will help a lot…

I know i doesn’t, but I don’t do it for that reason. I just like to express myself. It is easy this way to stay honest & happy.
Don’t worry and don’t put to much weight on my cursing; I still think Warhorse made a good game, they just mess up a lot of stuff, probably by the lack of decent management.

Hi, I didn’t play a while and I would ask if this bug is finally fixed?

Yes, Hans will buy new clothes now if you steal his. He won’t replace his sword. I haven’t tested stealing his armor after Robber Baron, but considering he only buys clothes, I am going to assume his battle set won’t be replaced.

Interestingly, if you take his sword before the archery/sword duel with him, he does respawn after the sword fight in the arena in new clothes with a new sword. He will do the archery in his underclothes.

Not in my case :frowning:
The funniest thing is I’ve never stolen his clothes.

I stole his clothes multiple times in a single play through. They don’t magically appear, but after the duel I mentioned, he does get them. After a day or so, he also gets them again. If I stole his sword after the duel, it did not appear again throughout the entire game, but he does get another sword if you steal it before the duel.

He takes them off at night, and they go into his chest, but you only have access to that during the Robber Baron quest. Once he comes home from that, it’s no longer available.

He also takes them off during his frequent baths. Both for the quest, inside, and just regular baths outside.

I assume he gets them from his chest in his room if he doesn’t have any for a while. I didn’t follow him around to test this.

Maybe you should. Your issue seems different then. I know sometimes he wouldn’t put his clothes back on after the bath quest, and that could be the issue you’re having.

I think they’re making all these changes so we don’t steal his gear. The funny thing is, we CAN still steal his gear. I also don’t know why they don’t let us do it. The same with killing or knocking out certain NPCs. It should alter future quests, not give us infinite loading screens.

Nope, the poor guy still walking around in his underwear (at least in my gameplays).

To be clear; I haven’t stole his gear before this. I haven’t stole at all, since money is so easy to come by in this game (even in hardcore mode).

What are you talking about? Hans buying new clothes?
You are full of shit. Hans does not buy shit. There is no AI that buys stuff, you live in a fantasy world.

He gets new clothes. Now, how would he get them? He probably doesn’t make them himself, so he buys them, or maybe he just has a giant stockpile. Buying them makes more sense.

It is a game, not a real world. Those AI’s are there for you, pretenting a fake world.
Tell me, did you ever see a single AI buy something? Like food, we should see them buy food all the time, otherwise they will die right? Well guess what, they don’t and still live.
Sorry to pop your dream, but Hans does not go out shopping.

Yes, they go to the Rattay trader and buy things. The one in the middle out in the open.

Really?

yes but you never see them actually show movement, just talk. They walk up & say they need a few things , then hey say in effect their done and walk away. if you are not near them ATM you would see them just walk up and then walk away.
