Hardcore mode totally broken!

I am a game programmer and yes I worked with Cryengine and also I am familiar with it’s licensing(a little).
I am not saying they did it by choice what I am saying what was needed.
People in WS is extremely talented. But clearly and unsurprisingly they didn’t have the manpower(probably) to pull this project smoothly. What they did is still beyond magnificent and they deserve respect for it.
But overall the game did fall short in few areas. That is my honest opinion and I am trying to be as much as impartial I can possibly be.My expectation regarding this game wasn’t high and this game is much much better than what I expected it to be.

Skyrim been remastered how many times? Mate you have been really rude to wh

The bugs aren´t that bad. I played a good bunch of hours these last days and I have yet to be confronted with a bug. My PC is good but the graphics card is shit. I can only run on 15 fps, on lowest settings. Yet, no bugs.
I have 100+ hours too image
In case someone wants to think superior in hours.

I don’t plan on playing HC anytime soon . I just want to say I have a not so super gaming computer and a ok GPU . I hafta play on mostly medium settings and FPS (depending on where in the game) 5-35 FPS and I still can play and didn’t have a whole lot of bugs that wer game created ( a few that were mod related) but were patch fixed. Iave over 100 hours of play thru all my restarts and playthrough. I still like the game. MY kind of RPG

We already know WH is listening to feedback. It’s not much of a stretch to imagine that if mod tools were out sooner rather than later WH would be able to listen even better… and by listen I mean see, emulate, use as a springboard for a different/idea for development. My guess is that there are legal/contractual issues they’re trying to work out… that and maybe their tools are ready for public consumption

@Rupz_Koomar:
You act like WHS has free ownership of the game engine and is holding back to annoy you.
Please remember they don’t own the CRY engine (and it is a very modded one ,by them) and are leasing it from CRYTEK . So for you to have access to the mod tools they had to get CRYTEK, Mikey Soft and the LORD GOD SONY. to agree and how to do it… Not easy.

Never said they did it by choice…I simply stated what was needed.
WS is full of talented people no doubt and what they did is beyond magnificent and they deserve respect for it but the game did fall short in some areas.
They probably didn’t have the manpower to pull this project smoothly.
I judged this game doesn’t mean I hate it. I was just being as impartial as possible.
Telling this game deserve 4/10 is as crazy as telling this game deserve 10/10.
This game has the potential to be a an essential game but it is clearly not.
I am really excited to see what comes next from the amazing team though.

283 hours

and guess what? In 283 hours i never managed to finish this frigging game because of game breaking bugs anywhere. And new patches introduced new game breaking bugs i didnt have before.

From day 1 patch to 1.6 i restarted the game from scratch like 5 or 6 times or even more and all with different patches.

Seven with today’s rerun from scratch. Even uninstalling the game and reinstalling it before playing

And of course bird in the hand still ridiculously broken. And im not talking bout base mode. But hardcore mode

Good to know that i fuicking wasted an entire afternoon for nothing. In a garbage of a game totally ******** by developers ineptness

Do Bughorse employess ever read their own forum?

Your issue is now known, your opinion is truly appreciate.
Again, please moderate your words, one thing is to give your opinion and other diferent is to use words to insult people, this is your second call.
Warhorse, as an indie studio is working hard, and as yours, others bugs are being listed.
Thank you.

Is he allowed to insult the devs here then? I thought that was against the rules tbh

Are you an employee from their studio? If so, that will save me good time from opening a ticket full of insults

Yes bugs are always known and never fixed.

It’s six months long i reported another huge game breaking bug that can be found in the quest called “in the cloister”, when you decide to arrest Pious aka Antonius and take it to balive in Rattay, the game totally breaks and quest cannot be ended. Not only the quest itself but also the same monks inside the monastery. Who stay forever and ever at the refettory eating from invisible dishes and act like they were in a persistent vegetative state.

Then also the quest of archery in Merhojed (i think was) is totally broken as wel. Even if you win the challenge nothing happens

… and six months later the bug is still there

Like I said earlier, this was my birthday present and what a present this was. I didn’t get a huge party or anything else, just this game. So not only did I encounter bugs my first time playing this, I could not complete it. So I waited until 1.6, waited to play my own damn game and now? I still can’t play it. So WHS listens to the fans and reads forums? That obviously isn’t the case when they can’t fix simple problems, problems that people talk about and complain about in these forums that STILL AREN’T FIXED. How is it that they listen?

In my opinion they are looking out for their own interests and not in the best interests of their fans, the gamers. They fix what they want to fix or deem necessary to fix, not what’s obviously in front of their face. The QA team either needs to be fired or showed how to do their job properly because it’s problem after problem. I’m calling it now, the next patch will mess things up. New problems. Bughorse studios. You’re damn right OP

@LEGATUS_AUGUSTI, @RichardTheThird;
Not everybody has the same problems as you . Some, less , some, about none.
your problems are unique to you. Being abusive and not being civil won’t help your cause. trying to work with them just might. They are a comparatively small staff ( in relation the biggies) working their arses of in a swamp full of alligators nipping at them. But, they are listening and trying, unlike some of the big boys.

Go checking the KCD Steam “bug megathread”, it’s made by 555 pages of people reporting bugs and complaints. 555 pages!!

Said that, KCD is the most beautiful broken game of last decade, and also the most expensive alpha state game ever. 36 million dollars. Where did all money go? Not in aggressive marketing campaign for sure. Who knows where. Not in programming either

Stop insulting the devs please

Haven’t you been reading? Problems have been submitted to them many patches ago and still no fixes. Why waste our time if they won’t listen? And no, my problems are not unique to me and a select few. I don’t know why everyone is denying the problems this game has but EVERYONE has bad pop in and if you deny that, you’re obviously taking up for them.

I challenge anyone without pop in to make a video of you riding through rattay on a horse or sprint through the town and you will see, shit popping up out of nowhere like fences and wagons, NPCs without heads and the outer layer of their clothes and armor before popping up finally when it loads, people with textureless faces, objects appearing out of thin air because of bad optimization on ALL platforms. Nobody will post one. Why? Because they know it to be true. And that ladies and gentlemen is only ONE of the problems this game has. Name me one other game that has any sort of merit to have this sort of problem? None do because they handle their business and bughorse studios doesn’t. I’m getting sick of people telling me that “my problems are unique to me”. You all obviously don’t see all of the posts on this website. Bug after bug after bug.

How much programming experience have you had? how long have you had working the gaming industry?
I haven’t but have a little programming experience in college to know the law of unintended consequences. Make a change and it just might mess up something else that was ok.

Now add the size of the project, the staffing problems, money costs and time pressures from all around you and see what your vast experience of programming in the gaming industry can do.
