Has anyone had this issue? (cant interact with things)

Hi,

So, today I was at the hunting part of the game., and ran into a couple of issues. Pretty big issues, as i cant progress with the game.
Firstly, I wasn’t able to interact with the horse saddlebag to bring the wine or the bacon. That was fine, I used the Cheat mod to get the items and bypass it. Thought it was strange, but thought it was a one off.
Now the same thing has happened. I cant untie him.
It shows up like normal, saying press ‘E’, but when I press it, it doesn’t work. I have restarted the game. Launched an earlier save. Reset key bindings. But to no avail. Strangely, I can press E for other things, like sleeping, or eating, talking, and anything else. But it seems quest interactions, don’t work for some reason?
I’m using v.1.4.

Any help would be hugely grateful.

Presume since you said 1.4 your PC
get 1.42 and go back a save and see.
1.43 is next week too.
1.4 and 1.41 known to corrupt saves.

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ve upgraded it to 1.4.2, and gone back a little way. But still have the same issue.
Unless I go back to a save when I was playing a previous version? But that’s like 5 hrs gameplay, for it to maybe still have the same issue. Just want to try all other solutions before I do that, haha.

I have been forced to reload 3x and restart 4x due to various reasons wiping 30+ hours out and even wiping saves on one run.
I can see your reluctance to go too far back.
It has been posted as a recommend not to use a pre new patch save.

I have the same issue. Game breaking bug!! If i try a previous save, i will lose +20hr. Still no patch?!

its a piss take, make me spend £40 on the game and then dont patch anything properly and instead release dlc.

I have the same problem. Started a brand new game, rushed through to the Hunt with Hans. Couldn’t retrieve wine and bacon. Waited 1 hour and quest failed to progress. Killed 2 Cumans, can’t untie Hans. Game stalled. The worst thing is this was a rushed playthrough to test another game-breaking bug with the DLC not launching after talking to Divish.

Just read that it’s caused by the Easy Lockpicking mod which I have installed. Going to remove and try tonight.

Don’t use unlimited saves too. will bugger up DLC and more

dont use mods and report bugs. thats not the devs fault as they dont officially support them.

Just a follow up, removed my MODS folder and relaunched the game. Confirmed I can Untie Hans now.

Top marks for updating forum with a post.
Many people are embarrassed to mention issue was caused by an unofficial mod and so leave a forum filled with abuse at devs for a self inflicted injury.

Being honest helps devs understand reported issues better; ultimately helping everyone as their attention can go to more useful solutions (for base game software).

Like why some denizens of Pribyslavitz run around in their undies, even ones I hired and no mods. Oh ya and the Bailiff in Rattay at the announcement a guard at the lower gate. I am pretty sure I didn’t take thier clothes.
