Have the bugs been fixed already?

I’ve heard this game is better than Skyrim, and excels as an RPG. But the same people told me that there have been game breaking bugs, some of which stay with you even after a patch. The devs have been fixing them up, so I wanted to know if this game is bug-free right now, or should I wait a couple

No, the game isn’t free form bugs. But not all of them are on every PC or console.

The game is broken to the point of not being playable. New patch makes the game crash no matter what after a certain amount of time played. No hotfix for weeks even though its just 1 broken script. I wish I could still refund.

It’s still a mixed bag.

Some people say the game is unplayably buggy. Some, like myself, say it’s completely playable with no crashes nor other game-breaking bugs (Steam v1.71).

I am in this case. Playing since december (beta, then v1.2 and higher) with a medium rig (core i5, 3Gb Vram, 8Gb Ram).

It has new bugs while some old ones are fixed. If you are not playing because of that reason. Wait more, maybe to next year.

No, they’re releasing “DLCs” instead for the sake of money, and creating new bugs… Very wise strategy for not cleaning your buggy fame.

I can only confirm @kbd statement.
There a still people who suffer from small to gamebreaking bugs, on xbox, ps or pc and people like me who can use even outdated mods and the game runs smooth with no bug in about 300 hours of playing

… And an Art book! That way we can pay 29 bucks for a book. Maybe to see the artwork we can’t see in game due to poor texture loading? Or at least, in a book, we will not have pop ins. So that way, IF we pay them 29 bucks, we get a stable view of what should be stable in game. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I dont think small is the right word. 10% of people across the board cant play passed a certain time and date right now.

Thats why I said small to gamebreaking!

Oops im dumb you are right sir.

Am on PC and do run several outdated mods that work. some don’t affect the gameplay, a few interfere with the correct running of DLC’s. I have a bug that makes my horse saddle, shoes and mod horse armor disappear after logging off and coming back later. Also have NPC’s running around in their undies. Mod caused or patch I have not determined.

K:CD DOA or TBC?

Definately wait. Studio has slowed down time between fixes and last few patches are showing and increasingly worrysome tendency that patches are not very widely tested or users needs are put first.

In fact it is overtly shown that last few patches are just ways to rush the DLC to sale. The patch AND dlc generally both proving quite broken.
Definately avoid, just as a consumer who votes with their wallet; buy when it is finished or of sound and merchndisble quality.

For the record my game install works, has worked well since launch and has been a very impressive tech demo. Any chance to enjoy it as a roleplay game is compromised by a studio who dont seem to understnd their product/who it is for/why…
basically a great game will likely die due to management not knowing how to manage or how to prioritise what stregthens them.
They do have some ideas for how to make money. Sadly these are ‘cookie cut’ ideas taken from the gaming industry as a whole and totally not relevant to this product.
Blindly stumbling forward when the public already sees them as ‘walking drunkenly’ isnt attractive.
I guess some watch them looking towards an inevitable fall.

I hope they lean against a lamp post for five moments, sober up, consider their position and act appropriately.

Or they can continue to stagger their software release with DLCs, each requiring different base product setup/modules- and none of them working.
We presenlt have six platforms they are supporting (ps4/ps4pro/xbox one/one s/one x/pc) with a potential mixup of a range of DLC.

The base product doesnt work reliably or well (depending on patch, and can go either way at any time)
The DLCs dont work reliably/well, certainly not on launch, and the base game can easily be crippled as a means of allowing cash generating DLC to be sold ‘on time’.

We have been apologised to and promised that this rapid release of unpolished / unfinished products wont happen again. Yet it has. Again and again.

So, fool me once: shame on you;fool me twice;shame on me.

On a positive note- cloth physics addition was nice.
Sadly for every one thing given two things are taken.
Seems like the studio cant even find/fix a controller input change that ‘broke(the ease of)’ lockpicking via controllers (ive had the game since launch and its one of many things made worse over time, whilst we can argue that the die game additions for straights etc is an improvement, breaking things that work and not acknowledging elephants in the room is leading to game death…)

This game had too many issues and sadly they are all getting the better of a product that should be ‘so much more’.

Ethically we should support developers who ‘play right’ by c0nsumers.
I stand by many many comments I have given talking up Warhorses dedication and customer service, and a range of compliments well earned.
I think a reread of the mission statement (assuming they have one) and a few moments considering their position in the market could lead to some changeups sorely needed.

The DLCs should only be sold as an all/none package.
Warhorse cannot afford the time/effort to split their product further. Becomes too hard to service and make reliable-
Two products; game, vanilla/game with DLCs is what should be being supported.
Id argue against that, as Warhorse really should be focusing on ONE product- but I understand they aint going to give EVERYONE the DLCs, and they obviously need more cash, so selling DLCs is a thing for them, apparently.

I believe they would make A LOT MORE CASH by releasing one polished product and selling it to more people, but hey, when written like that, sounds too simple.

Polish what though? The initial release still left Henry as the only one to actively ride a horse in a region brimming with horse paths and wagons and well supplied with horses.

The core game still needs some non-vignette enhancements. With those added, I completely agree

I did one play through, got to about day 20 and now everytime I hit 11:20 pm ingame the game crashes. Presumably due to a tournament.

While waiting for a fix, I started another play through, Im on about day 50 now, beat the entire game, and placed first in the tournament with no crashes. So all in all, idk?

You will know if you test it. A game might be awfully rated and great for somebody, or the opposite. Make your own opinion.
