In case its too difficult for you, practice - practice - practice!!
This isn’t a bug and this isn’t quest, it’s more of a tutorial, so if you don’t get it right the first time, you can try again later since that chest will always be at your disposal to practice on. At the beginning of the game you can only do “Very Easy” once you do a very easy chest your character will get the experience to handle “Easy” chests.
