I’m on “The Prey” and managed to complete the hunt with really good results. However, I used up almost all of my arrows in the hunt. At the time the game prompts me to rescue Lord Capon (he’s tied to a tree), I’ve only got 1 arrow left, and no other weapons. As soon as I free Lord Capon I’m attacked by a man with a sword and another man with a bow. If I run away , Lord Capon just stops. My game saved at this point so I don’t really know what to do. If I run, I guess the mission will fail. If I fight, I’ll die. And I can’t find any weapons. If I leave the forest to find a weapon, it says game over. Basically I’m just stuck in a loop. I’ve tried to lock pick the crates near Lord Capons captured spot, and they’re empty. This is pretty frustrating because I spent already 2 hours on this quest, and the end comes down to not having a sword. I have to do it all over again I presume?
I don’t think that is the case. Have you tried to go back in the camp were the quest starts and Hans asks you to bring bacon and wine?
There is a chest near the campfire with a Seax (hunting sword i think) and some arrows. Try this and see if the quest will fail.
Or you can try to remove all of your clothes, sneak behind the Cummans, take them down, pick one of his swords and finish the job.
I don’t think there’s a sword. There were arrows he told me to grab in the beginning of the quest. I grabbed those already. I doubt the game would require me to take off all of my clothes and sneak up behind them this early on. There has to be some other way to complete this quest. I don’t know why everybody else already had a sword. There was none when I started.
But i’m sure there is a Seax in the trunk, go and see for yourself.

But I really enjoy hunting in this game. It is nice to get out in the woods and be away from the hustle and bustle. I guess it was like the sailing in Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag. I felt like the put a really good game around my pirate ship simulation. I think they put a really good game around my hunting simulation.
