So i finally gave up on lockpicking for the moment. i was looking through skills and herbalism caught my eye. Thought to myself “This should be easy. i mean how hard can it be to pick up flowers.” Boy i was wrong it is a pain. the window for your cursor in my case on Xbox is dot in middle of screen is so small, you either spend forever or atleast what seems like forever tring to pick one plant. i mean come on really. picking flowers is not that hard. make it so no matter what part of the plant your dot is on you are able to pick.
As you level up, you pick up more at a time. Also focus where certain plants are dense because you’ll pick up more at a time.
Even if it gets easier/I can grab more per swipe later I still agree with you. If they have a “loot all” option, which they do, then why not just make it where if you open you inventory you have a tab for “Ground/Local” where you can see whats is around in a certain radius? Picking a flower here and the same one like, 3 inches away in game, and repeating that is annoying…killing multiple enemies in one area and trying to loot them and you can’t get weapons because they fell on the ground. So frustrating some times.
my whole point is. this isnt combat or lockpicking pickpoketting its picking flowers. in real life which is what this is tring to stay as close as possible to. Picking flowers is easiest thing in the world to do. unless oh i get it back in days of old it took incredible skill to pick flowers, ok i get it.
right, so being able to just open a menu and pick up all the flowers in the immediate area, as you could as though you were searching a body or a chest or whatever, would be the fastest way to pick a lot of flowers. Instead of having to individually aim and, when you finally get the option, picking them up. This is a problem with arrows too. I can find them no problem, but I have to position myself in just the right spot to pick it up. They’ll work it out I’m sure
that would work… havent got bow yet but can imagine…
Or, one time I punched a chicken to kill it and get some food…it was on a slight hill so the chicken started rolling away. It was unnecessarily difficult to get that chicken lol. But, punching a chicken is hilarious so it was worth it to me.
Its the hit box or whatever you call it. Its annoying. I usually kinda sweep a flower until the gather thing pops up. Also, not entirely evident, but some flowers arent pickable.
On a separate note, i got to 10 hunting last night and unlocked "forester " perk. Super good stealth perk that would be insanely helpful to anyone sneaking into bandit camps.
Yeah, that’s an awesome perk. I wish I had it before I did all of the bandit raids.
Hunting is super appealing. The whole forest scenery is amazing. With better food cooking/prep and some camping stuff I’m not sure I would do much else. Apparently theyre adding more animals…wolves and bears I think I saw? That would make stuff interesting if you could use livers and other excess stuff you get from your hunting perks to set traps while you’re out hunting.

Yeah same here. If i were to do it all over again. Id stick to hunting and alchemy at first, to get the full experience.

definitely. Like, I remember watching beta footage and hype videos and thinking going off path would be risky…its definitely not. i dont know if it’s a bug or what but I havnt even fallen off my horse, ever. The ONLY time I fell off was when I was shot off, which I dont attribute to riding skill…I was shot lol. I have no fear just traveling straight through, the only reason I dont is because getting caught up on bushes, and being stuck in FPV makes for some bad experiences just trying to high tail it straight through the woods. Other then that, no problem.
No branches. But if you want to get knocked off, ride through the creek between the executioner house and bath house, ride under a bridge real fast and see what happens lol.
Also my horse kept bucking me off when i was escaping the runt camp after doing recon
Maybe that’s what it was then, cuz that’s when it happened to me. I just thought they were shooting me off. No trees or small drop offs or stream crossing has been an issue. I did see a video where someone just dug up Reekys treasure and ran through his dads property and ran into the roof of a stable. Maybe it’s just not as bad as I thought it was going to be
