although i may be mistaken as to the topic of which they aren’t keen on, as i have also been informed that there are plenty of people arguing the racist and feminist point as well.
To put it simply. They aren’t shying away from homosexual character or people of various ancestries. They will be making the most historically accurate (and fun) game that they can. So they aren’t activist for or activist against they’er very open.
Yes, I’m sorry I caused confusion because I didn’t mean to sound like i thought they absolutely weren’t going to, but to say that, to my knowledge through a couple conversations about the topic with another backer and personal friend of mine, that they hadn’t said anything about putting it in the game and they didn’t seem to be very focused on the matter.
And also, It wouldn’t matter in the least to me if they put a quest or a character that is homosexual, because i don’t think it would really take away from the overall game experience, while others do.

Actually I wouldn’t. Maybe I would enjoy a gay love story in a game that fits. Could be enhancing the story even, I don’t know. The point is: Put it where it fits! Don’t force it on everything that’s out for “equality” reasons. A realistic medieval rpg is not the one where you can celebrate homosexuality.
Personally I despise religion. But remove it from the game, or even make it more general to not offend any people following other religions? Hell no, it wouldn’t make any sense, would it?
if you could comfortably watch two men making out or having sex , then well…
for example a few months back on the train into work . two older men (mid 40’s) got on the train and were talking like anyone else but clearly were more than friends as to how close they were standing to each other face to face , nothing wrong with that of course but they then started to make out , and i have honestly never felt so uncomfortable in all my life .i would feel a little awkward if it was a straight couple as well but if i was to say something to a straight couple they would most likely stop or move away or something , but if i was to ask a gay couple to stop i would most likely be accused of being homophobic and all over the news and thats the problem we have , a pub up london got into sticky territory with this when they asked to men to stop making out or leave as it was making other people around them uncomfortable and they attempted to have the pub shutdown and it was all over BBC news for days with protests outside the pub etc .
we live in a society where it is almost impossible to have any opposing view against the minorities out of fear of being branded a racist etc

Well just like hetero sex in games. It’s mostly just a vague idea of what happens. I wouldn’t buy a game that’s picturing it in every detail though. I hope nobody is actually demanding a game like that being made.
Oh I see. Well I would agree that that definitely would go way too far. I wouldn’t like that as well and I would probably act very “homophobic” / “heterophobic” about that XD

exactly , why do we even have to have a discussion over someones sexuality thats something that should be left behind closed doors , i dont feel the need to go “ohh by the way im straight” or "i dont think straights were correctly portrayed in that game " WHO CARES ! just get on with life

Yes exactly! The only reason to have to talk about this is because people feel the need to let everybody know their opinions / lifestyle.
It’s fascinating how this is a topic, but yet nobody has asked if there will be “witches” burned. Wasn’t it starting to become popular again around 1400 in europe?

if you read the discussion (and the thread about homosexuality in this game specifically) then you’d have your answer as to why it’s discussed. Most of your points aren’t ones we homosexuals disagree with.
You sound like sex makes you uncomfortable. If so, the issue is yours. Why get bent out of shape about it?
people keep saying sex is nobody’s business but their own, what one does in the privacy of their bedroom, etc, then they push it all up into the public sphere unnecessarily.
one reaction to that is george west’s reaction, which is to recoil at the hypocrisy and thoughtlessness of it all.
Or you can read the thread and increase your level of understanding, but why try new things.
Go to a gay pride, watch and learn, get comfortable, go about your heterosexual life in future and don’t be worried by signs of affection among gay people any more.
It’s not special. Nobody gives a fuck. But having 3 alternative story lines because there are people who want to have a chance to fuck women / men / goats would be a bit overkill to just tell a simple story.

I understand you won’t have to write the whole story 3 times, that was the exaggerated part (guess you couldn’t figure that out), but why even waste resources on this topic? Have you seen how many awesome feature request there are on this forum? Where warhorse stated it would be great but unfortunately they just can’t… I fail to see how your sexual preference is more important then those features.
