being disgusted by homosexuality isn’t any more harmful than being repulsed by certain foods or disliking certain songs. a gay may be offended, but so can a chef, or a singer, as long as it doesn’t translate into actions which violate a person’s civil rights, it shouldn’t matter. it’s called having an opinion.
he’s no more bigoted than someone who says they enjoy watching men getting it on, presumably a gay guy or just a wimp desperate for liberal progressive cool points.
to me, this is one of those questions which have only 2 answers. third answer:i don’t care just means you’re scared to be called a phobic or bigot, or too scared to look like you have solidarity with gays. i personally am on the “repulsed” side of things. i find it gross, but i keep it to myself. 2 middle aged men having casual action on train i just look away.
a good technique is to imagine they are bonobo chimps. this way it’s just animals that cannot control themselves. not saying gays are animals, but it’s a working analogy. bonobos often have same sex relations to relieve stress. because it’s hard to tell male from female, their actions are hard to tell apart anyway. some tips for george west.
