Horse inventory and horse death

I made my way back to skilitz and killed a bunch of bandits there, a Archer started shooting my horse while I was fighting off 2 bandits and he killed it before I stuck him with the pointy end and mercy killed him (it was not mercy full) I started to cry looking at my dead Pebbles, and hacking my sword upon the archer that killed Pebbles, I really wanted to load my game but I killed like 10 bandits and almost finished a quest. I then started to Whistle hoping he would come back to life but never did. I then looted all of the bandits and put it into my horse inventory even though pebbles was dead. I then fast traveled to a city close buy and whistled for Pebbles and he did not show up, I tried one more time and there he was alive and well!!!

This must be a bug. And WH needs to fix the horse inventory. I think the horse should be close to you if you want to use the horse inventory and the horse needs to be alive to use it. And if a horse dies it should stay dead even though i love pebbles. This part of the game needs to be more realistic.

Unfortunately, if oyu read the tooltip for the horse health it says: Your horse does not die. If it’s health is reduced to zero it will simply regenerate over time." <–obviously paraphased but that’s it in a nutshell.

And I agree horse inventory shoudl only be accessible up to a certain range.
And one’s own horse should be killable, just like the ones of others.

How it is currently implemented is a quality of life feature. what prevents you from whisling for your horse right bevor you access this inventory.

okay fair point taken if you are within a house, but houses are not that big that you would get any range useful to interact with the horse inventory. It would be getting annoying really quick i suppose.

Indeed. It’s exactly what I’m doing mostly. It’s what I’d like. I don’t insist upon it  .
Only thing I would insist upon is that the death of one’s horse is a) possible and b) has consequences.

It would make more sense to have to buy a new horse and come back to recover one’s possesions. And if you have bad luck vagabonds may have ooted it partially.
The last paragraph is just ideas and musing.

I have been Playing the game for about 35 hours , I don’t get to far away from my horse any way. The whistle is also way to loud, I have to turn down my TV because it’s to loud. That needs fixed.

I wish they also made it so the horse also needed food and sleep. It might be a bit excessive but a little extra care for the horse would be nice. I try to shelter my horse from rain when I go to sleep

One of my budgies now imitates Henry’s whistle. It’s so cute! Every time Henry whistles, my birds whistle follows.

How is your horse supposed to hear you three towns away if you whistle quietly? ??

I agree.

Also I find it quite unrealistic that you have access to all the inventory in the chest disregarding if you stay at an inn or you room with peshek or in priksteijn. the stored items should only be at the stored chests. It’s far too easy with access almost from everywhere to everything.

Don’t forget to use the three stall stable when at the Sassau inn!
It is the small building to the right of the stairs, entrance in the back of it.

GEEEEEZZZZ. Ain’t it loud enough!!!
Hurts my ears on speakers! The whistle needs to be reduced by 1/3 and/ its own volume control!!!

I have started collected Bandit horses and bringing them all back to Rattay. Might move them to Talmberg, where I first brought in Olena, or find a weird abandoned place and make it my own stable!
