► Horses and the Horse Riding Mechanic

Hey, Kingdom Come fans, today on Kingdom talk I talk about Horses, and the Horse Riding Mechanic within the RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

I talk about the possible difference in speciality species (strength, speed etc) and the realistic needs of not only henry(you) but the horses he owns.
As well as the mechanics already revealed to us, along with some other tid bits of info about the horses…

Well Im from city and only ride horse once in my whole life but… since game takes time during the summer, I think your horse could all the grass he wants :- ) But you got point, bringing your horse to stream to watering him/her could really add to the the atmosphere.

yeah I think the whole immersive experience of your journey through Bohemia would be much better if that were the case.

I will do, Thanks. I should be doing a video a week on kingdom come (rotating throughout the week for just cause 3, witcher 3<- until release and kingdom come game talks) to keep the whole of the audience satisfied.

If they make it realistic I hope you can hire a page/valet/groom because no way in hell the hero is gonna deal with all that… shit.

lol, I’m sure they’ll have something, maybe you can have a squire later on, but you may have to pay them or something like every few days- Ah dunno.
The squire could do all the dirty work like deal with the shit :stuck_out_tongue:

Really good video and I like some of the questions you raised about the different horse breeds. I hope there will be a couple of them at least. There should be real difference between the village/woods workhorses, riding cavalry horses and maybe ponies. I hope they will also add jackasses with their stubborn nature - after all, a medieval village without jackasses is a farce.

The thing that you raised and that deserves answering is the amount of attention the horse and dog will need, i.e. watering, feeding, sleeping, considering that these stats will be important for the main char. Would you care to share some light on that, @TobiTobsen, @Hellboy?

Also, if the game will have realistic hunting, and cooking, will we be able to make horse sausages (or actually decide to kill the horse/dog in order to preserve the hungry main char)?

Thanks, i hope to get some of these answers at some point and bring them up in a later video, i was considering contacting tobi about it but i thought id already asked him loads about the game already :slight_smile:

This game gets better every time I see it, whether I’m roaming around in Alpha or from the Video Updates.

yeah me too, I love it to bits. I already cant wait for the E3 build and what theyre going to be showing of at e3

Yupp,…to be honest I really like to see another new gameplay video. Like the 60-Minutes one from the Kickstarter Campaign. :blush:

I’m sure they’ll give us something soon, if not we will defo get something new at E3!

E3 will be definitely something new as far as I know. At least I heard some stuff from the sound department, that there’s the E3 build. Maybe that’s going to be the build, where several modules get into one single build.

well there will be some horse riding, sword combat, stealth missions and a new location next to samopesh in it so thats a few ore hours of gameplay added just there :stuck_out_tongue:
