Hey guys, I just found a serious problem in the game, and I am sure others will have it too:
Later in the main quest of the beta you will have to talk to the commander of the garrison and ask him for reinforcements for the attack.
BUT:
The problem is that he lives in the castle in Talmberg, which how all we know isn’t accessible in the beta!!
So how can you talk to him and finish the quest at all? Any solutions? No one in Talmberg knows anything about it, even the guards dosen’t…
Follow the quest marker. It’s easy to find him. Have you ever loaded a game before that point? If so, enjoy your game crash.
At this time he is (the commander) in the soldier camp (near Merhojed). There you can talk to him.
Yeah the quest marker points at the castle, but I can’t go in it
Ok, I now talked to almost everybody in the camp but couldn’t find him yet, how does he look like?
He looks like each other soldier 
Usually sits by the fire or arena fence. I think he won’t talk to you if you have poor repuation among soldiers or if Reeky gets killed.

Most of the time he’s where you start the game, but I did find him sitting in the town once on a bench. You probably just can’t see him. Anyway, unless you haven’t reloaded a save, the game will simply crash if you start the battle.

Yes, but you have to talk again to him. Looks like WH changed the story a little, and now is the dialog wrong.
I have to talk with Robard of Talmberg, but if I’m in the camp I can’t talk with him. I press A (on controller) but he does nothing. Now I can’t do my quest.
This is the guy, and he’s exactly where I said he would be. Where you start the game. See the helm? He’s not the guy in the coif at the camp.

I completed this quest just an hour ago. After being told to get reinforcements you can then again re-interact with sir Robard who is in the encampment at Merhojed, and begin the final battle.
Why there is two sir Robards? Idk

There isn’t. The pics you are all posting are of Sir Robard. The pic I posted is of the Talmberg commander.

Hello, I’m going to piggyback this post and add that When I talk to the commander, the dialogue scene ends after he asks how many reinforcements I want. It goes back to first person and the quest log doesn’t change (tells me to talk to the commander).
Anyone know what’s up? I can’t advance the story.
Have you ask for reinforcements (30 men in total needed)?
Maybe that´s bug #21 in the bugreport.
I sure did. I selected 30 too. What can I do? I really really really want to do the battle. It’s so anticlimatic if I have to start over. I don’t want to waste time and go to a far back save game and experience the same thing.
I love this game… It has some logistical issues such as UI flow.
I hot the same bug. The only way how to continue is to load some older save, return to sir Robard and report 40 men.
At least, you should have an autosave from when you discovered the bandit camp.
