and so all the game in the hunts asked for & by the nobles is still marked stolen!!!

The game apparently has no way to tell that the player is master huntsman of Talmberg. The poaching issue is the most glaring problem, but I’ve also had dialogues with a tanner about the master huntsman being an ass and not getting him enough hides or something, so maybe you could poach a bit to supply him. Before or after the tanner’s 3 quests it shouldn’t matter. If you did the quest and are THE MAN it can’t be poaching
I know. That was just to illustrate that the game can’t tell that you’re the master huntsman.
Even if you are master huntsman it is still not your meat.
The deers, hares boars belong to Diwish and Hanush and you are allowed to regulate the population, but it is still „stealing“ cause the wild does not belong to you.
@flowbro meat was flagged as poached when I was hunting it for the Diwish’s scribe as The Master Huntsman of Talmberg. It’s a bug not a historical feature.
@Yukshee yeah allthough it is marked as stolen you have the permission to hunt it for Diwish, you don‘t have the permission to sell it somewhere else, for that is the stolen tag.
Thats not a bug.
While that is a convenient explanation for the stolen tag, it’s not the reason why this is the case. As I said, NPCs don’t recognize you as the master huntsman either, they b###h about the master huntsman to your face even when you are the master huntsman.
Hence one of the reasons for the post. Someone forgot a thread outcome and didn’t follow it out.

The game is trying to stay historically correct.
The huntsman is nothing more than a national park ranger who protects the forests from poachers and the like for his lord.
Everything belongs to the Lord and he only hints what he’s requested or allowed to hunt.
This is medieval Europe people, not the fr e usa!
It just bugs me when folks don’t have a clue about nothing and start yelling right away, bug, bug, bug!
